    Mobile Harbor Crane Operator

    Location: Tincan Island Port, Apapa, Lagos

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Operate the mobile harbor crane in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures.
    • Operate the equipment in the right direction and angles to prevent accidents and damage of property.
    • Will be responsible for managing the stowage/bay plan
    • Conduct pre-operational safety checks on the mobile harbor crane (MHC) accordance with to PCHS policies and procedures and report defects.
    • Respond to signals and directions by the staff (Ashore/Onboard) and work in coordination with them.
    • Recording in the log or report the details of all inspections, maintenance, and other work done on the crane while in the field.
    • Ensure continuous operations with a hot seat changeover at shift changeover times.
    • Actively promote safety culture and awareness at all times and ensures a safe workplace policy.
    • Be well versatile with safety procedures, lifting and rigging procedures, risk assessments when operating the cranes.

    Educational Qualification

    • Minimum of SSCE
    • HND, BSc, B.Tech will be an added advantage.

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience on same role.

    Age Requirement:

    • Between 25-40 years old.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Proficient with terminal standard equipment’s and technical expertise.
    • Thoroughly familiar with the strict implementation of international standards of safe working practices terminal operations.
    • A comprehensive understanding of container terminal operations, especially vessel cargo logistics, hazardous cargo, break-bulk and special cargo handling requirements and equipment.

    Job Description

    • Develop HR Strategies to support the Company’s Corporate & Business Strategy:
    • Align Human Resources to the overall business objectives and goals of the organization.
    • Ensure that organizational structures and processes contribute to the achievement of the Company’s goals and objectives.
    • Identify key risk element pertaining to the execution of the HR strategy, design and communicate mitigating interventions.
    • Provide regular feedback to Management on implementation of HR strategies.

    Qualification, Skills and Experience Required

    • First Degree in Human Resources or related field and a Master’s Degree is required.
    • Minimum of 8 years cognate experience and 5+ years as Senior Manager, Human Resources in a Financial Sector.
    • People oriented and results driven
    • Very good knowledge of the banking industry
    • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
    • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
    • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
    • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
    • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
    • A membership of CIPM and any of SHRM, HRCI or CIPD is required.

    Reach Stacker Operator

    Location: Tincan Island Port, Apapa, Lagos

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Conduct pre-operational safety checks in accordance with the company's policies and procedures and report defects.
    • Operating Reach Stacker/Empty Handler effectively
    • Unloading and transportation of shipping containers
    • Complying with standard operating procedures
    • Ensures containers are stacked and staged properly.
    • Follows a routine based on established methods and procedures.
    • Follows safe operating procedures and instructions, preventing any injury to persons, damage to containers and other equipment and property.
    • Ensure continuous operations with a hot seat changeover at shift changeover at shift changeover times.
    • Actively promote safety culture and awareness at all times and ensures a safe workplace policy.

    RTG Operator

    Location: Tincan Island Port, Apapa, Lagos

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Operates the RTG by following all safety rules, discerning any engine trouble that may require immediate attention.
    • Inspects the body and parts of the RTG like tire pressure, spreader, lights (for nighttime operation), PA system etc.
    • Test runs the RTG to find out its working condition.
    • Proceeds immediately to the block assigned by the supervisor and execute instructions from the (VMT) Vehicle Mounted Terminal.
    • Loads and unloads containers from trucks coming from the vessel to the yard and vice versa, receiving export containers and mounting containers to delivery trucks.
    • Ensures proper log-in/log-out protocols in the VMT are observed.
    • Inspects equipment, identifies and reports any safety problems, malfunctions, or damage to RTG crane components and equipment, before, during or after the shift.
    • Respond to signals/radio and directions by the staff and work in coordination with them.
    • Maintain proper coordination and cooperation with the terminal Traffic system, so that the normal activities are not disrupted.
    • Carries out duties and tasks in an efficient, productive manner.
    • Acts as signalman when RTG are moving from one stack to another.
    • Ensure proper hand-over of the RTG to the next incoming shift operator.
    • Performs other related duties that the superior may direct from time to time

    Educational Qualification

    • Minimum of SSCE
    • HND, BSc, B.Tech will be an added advantage

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience on same role with a valid Driver’s Licence

    Age Requirement:

    • Between 25-40 years old

    Technical Competencies:

    • Proficient with terminal standard equipment’s and technical expertise.
    • Thoroughly familiar with the strict implementation of international standards of safe working practices terminal operations.
