    Logistics Manager

    Job Description

    • Design and develop standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
    • Develop and execute methodologies to enable effective implementation of logistic plans
    • Liaise with suppliers, logistic vendors, and end users to resolve any outstanding issues.
    • Responsible for preparing shipping documentation and providing support in merging materials into single shipments, including crating and packing when necessary.
    • Analyse and achieve the requirements of all shipping and commercial documentations for all deliveries and identify correct approvals, handling, and packaging.
    • Organise transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
    • Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low.
    • Monitor logistic vendors and provide reports on performance, costs, and product development.
    • Maintains quality and efficiency throughout the logistic processes.
    • Resolve general logistics problems, variations, and dispute issues, with an appreciation of the overall value-effectiveness of solutions.
    • Achieve logistics and expediting activities between suppliers, logistics vendors, and end users to satisfy business requirements and targeted savings.
    • Establish ethical relationships with suppliers and logistic vendors to ensure the most cost-effective solutions.
    • Assess efficiency of suppliers and vendors, and proffer solutions to ongoing problems.
    • The expediter works to maintain the movement of materials from vendors and suppliers
    • Provide support to the Purchasing Manager to ensure that strategies developed for products are aligned with the overall business strategy
    • monitors the orders to be sure that the materials are delivered in the specified amount of time.
    • Maintains contact with the shipping or transportation companies to prevent delays in shipments.
    • Inspects goods upon delivery to ensure that the standards of quality are met, and the appropriate quantity/quality has been received.
    • Ensure that the appropriate goods are transferred to each client before deadline.

    Skills and Specifications

    • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
    • 5 - 8 years experience as a logistics professional.
    • Supply chain certification is an additional advantage.
    • Third-Party Coordination: Managing relationships with transporters, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers.
    • Warehouse Operations: Oversight of receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
    • Inventory Management: Keeping stock levels optimized while avoiding shortages or overstocking
    • Fleet & Route Optimization: Ensuring goods are delivered in the fastest, most cost-efficient manner.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with customs, shipping regulations, safety standards, and import/export procedures.
    • Scalability Planning: Designing systems and processes that can grow with the business.

    Salary
    N400,000 - N450,000 monthly.

    Sales Engineer

    Job Summary

    • As a Sales Engineer you will be generally responsible for developing strategies to gain new customers and provide technical assistance where necessary.
    • Additionally, as a Sales Engineer you will help other members of the sales team under the customer’s need, do research and present specialized solutions to fulfil those needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
    • Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
    • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Requirements
    • Bsc in mechanical, electrical engineering or related discipline.
    • Minimum 300M sales and above in either FMCG or Oil and Gas industry
    • Must have a strong customer base.
    • Product & Solution Expertise: Deep understanding of the products, systems, and technologies offered (e.g., valves, pumps, turbines, automation systems
    • Application Engineering: Ability to advise on technical configurations and how solutions fit specific projects (e.g., oil & gas, power, construction)
    • Technical Proposal Writing: Skill in preparing clear, competitive, and technically accurate proposals, datasheets, and BOQs
    • Tendering & Bidding Expertise: Understanding of public and private sector procurement processes, RFQs, RFPs, and bid packaging
    • Client Relationship Management: Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Negotiation Skills: Skilled in structuring commercial offers and negotiating pricing, payment terms, and aftersales support
    • Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Ability to project revenues, manage CRM systems, and track KPIs
    • Technical Communication: Ability to explain complex systems in simple terms to non-engineering decision-makers
    • ERP / CRM Tools: Use of SAP, Oracle, Zoho, or Salesforce for quotes, leads, and order tracking
    • Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint: For financial modeling, reporting, and presentations.

    Operations Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee execution of procurement projects from planning to completion.
    • Develop and implement best sourcing practices for sourcing officers to ensure the best sourcing results and most competitive pricing, including monitoring.
    • Coordinate between quoting and sourcing to ensure timely release of quotations to customers.
    • Coordinate between quoting, sourcing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery
    • Implement quality control measures during engineering and procurement processes. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and client expectations.
    • Ensure internal communication between sales, quoting, sourcing and finance.
    • Monitor and improve operational systems, processes, and best practices.
    • Track project timelines, budgets, and KPIs; report regularly to management.
    • Manage vendor relationships and resolve procurement-related issues.

    Core Competencies

    • 5 - 8 years experience in managing cross functional team within the FMCG, Oil and Gas or Engineering Procurement industry.
    • In-depth experience with Local and international sourcing
    • Vendor sourcing, negotiation, and logistics coordination
    • Certified Supply Chain Professional
    • Ability to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies
    • Excellent at creating reports, SOPs, and feedback loops
    • Ability to manage transitions (e.g., tech implementation, scaling operations)

    Additional advantage:

    Experience with tools like Odoo.

    Salary

    N500,000 - N550,000 Monthly.
