    People Operations Manager (HR / Startup / FinTech / Cryptocurrency)

    Responbilities
    HR Responsibilities:

    • Create and manage a formal performance review process
    • Design, propose and implement human resources strategies, guidelines and procedures within broad principles and policies to meet requirements supporting short and long-term business needs
    • Provide local insight to corporate guidelines and procedures and manage the administration and implementation within respect to employee training and development programs, salary structure, performance appraisals and recognition, compensation and benefit plans
    • Ensure compliance of the company’s practices with applicable labour legislation and collective labour agreements in Nigeria and other African countries
    • Secure professional legal support from external legal counsel as required
    • Assist in articulation of the values and culture of the organisation
    • Work with CEO, COO and CTO to identify human resources problems/issues and provides leadership and support in finding solutions
    • Organise and supervise HR/Personnel services that highly qualified personnel are recruited, developed and motivated to achieve business objectives
    • Oversee and ensure the effective running of the local payroll via external provider

    FinTech Recruitment Responsibilities:

    • Manage relationships with external recruitment firms
    • Write and post technical job descriptions
    • Source potential candidates on niche platforms, like LinkedIn 
    • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search).
    • Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes.
    • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities.
    • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioral questions).
    • Coordinate with IT team leaders to forecast department goals and hiring needs.
    • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates.
    • Compose job offer letters.
    • Onboard new hires.
    • Promote company’s reputation as a great place to work.
    • Conduct job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements.
    • Keep up-to-date with new technological trends and products.

    Requirements

    • BSc in Human Resources Management, IT or relevant Degree.
    • 5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources and FinTech Recruitment
    • Solid understanding of HR practices and labor legislation
    • Native in English with excellent verbal and written skills
    • Proven experience in managing – leadership abilities and know how to motivate and manage people
    • Strong business mind and accountability
    • Ability to create and manage processes and projects
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Able to work under pressure
    • Able to work in a fast pace international and multicultural environment

    Financial Manager (FinTech - Unsecured Loans)

    The Team

    • The team consists of innovators and builders with domain expertise in the lending space.
    • They share a determination to continue leveraging data driven approaches to problem solving by building products that the market needs and API integrations that drive value across the board.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly account reconciliation on all financials, to include balancing all accounts Daily, Monthly and End of year
    • Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
    • Conduct risk management, tax compliance and payroll
    • Allocate resources and manage cash flows
    • Conduct profit and cost analyses
    • Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
    • Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
    • Recommend cost-reducing solutions.

    Requirements

    • BSc / BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
    • MSc / MBA or relevant certification (e.g. CFA / CPA) is a plus.
    • +7 years of proven work experience as a Head of Finance, Director of Finance or similar role, ideally in the FinTech industry.
    • Experience in one of the Big 4 consulting firms preferred (Tax, Audit and Financial services).
    • Start up experience a plus.
    • In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping.
    • Hands-on experience with budgeting, risk management, all operations of accounts, tax compliance and payroll.
    • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
    • Proficiency in accounting software.
    • Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Leadership abilities.

    Corporate Finance Generalist (FinTech Lending)

    The Team

    • The team consists of innovators and builders with domain expertise in the lending space.
    • They share a determination to continue leveraging data driven approaches to problem solving by building products that the market needs and API integrations that drive value across the board.

    Responsibilities

    • Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
    • Oversight of transaction due diligence
    • Negotiation of transaction documentation including sales and purchase agreements and other legal documents
    • Deal structuring and other transaction related matters
    • Liaising with business stakeholders, investors across all levels to achieve transactional goals in the international market
    • Managing relationships with other stakeholders on financing requirements
    • Conduct profit and cost analyses

    Requirements

    • Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field, ideally from an US or UK institution.
    • Certification CA / CFA / CPA.
    • +7 years of proven work experience as a Corporate Finance Generalist or similar role.
    • FinTech industry experience is a plus.
    • Work experience in Africa (Nigeria).
    • Lending capital.
    • Financial Modeling.
    • Private Equity.
    • Must have Nigerian work experience as well as a Nigerian network.
    • In-depth understanding of capital markets, diligence processes, sales, relationship management, risk portfolio management and asset management.
    • Hands-on experience in sourcing and closing deals and dealing with multiple investment deals.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation as well as a strong business skills.
    • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders.
