    Account Reconciliation & Tax Management Officer

    Job Objectives

    • This is to ensure that all General Ledger accounts balances are reconciled, and all tax related matters are handled according to related laws and regulations.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Ensure accurate, timely filing of Federal, State and Local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
    • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary Federal and State Taxes.
    • Liaison with Tax consultants on tax issues affecting both the employees and employer as a company.
    • Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company Tax procedures.
    • Review Tax returns and quarterly/yearly Tax projections.
    • Devote proper attention to informing other departments of discrepancies for timely resolution.
    • Daily call over of previous day transaction to ensure accuracy and correctness of posting/ accounting treatment of all transactions, daily general ledger proof.
    • Reconciliation: bank statements, proof of stock, sundry stock, PPE, cash advance and other general ledger accounts.
    • Participate in financial audits, responsible for necessary audit schedules.
    • Support and provide relevant inputs for monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports preparation.
    • Ensuring the completion of monthly reconciliations and follow through of unreconciled items for assigned accounts.
    • Develop and implement procedures for compliance and efficiency in an effort to reduce outstanding items.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with relevant professional qualifications
    • At least one relevant professional qualification e.g., ACCA, ACA.
    • Not less than 5 years’ experience in a Finance function.

    Account Service Officer

    Job Objectives

    • To ensure that investor onboarding, transfers of securities and other capital market operations are promptly and efficiently executed, preserving customer confidence and satisfaction.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Managing the requests from the various channels for Central Securities Depository (CSD) account administration I.e. Opening, Amending, Merging and Closure of CSD accounts.
    • Onboarding & Off boarding of investors’ accounts for Direct cash services based on the approved Operational procedures.
    • Process and execute requests for share detachment from special accounts to stockbroking firms.
    • Process account transfer requests, sends out advice and ensures proper filing of all documents relating to inter-member transfers and other related transfers for Stockbrokers custodians and investors (special account holders).
    • Generate and process relevant market participant (Stockbroking firm, Market Makers etc.) reports
    • Attends to enquiries and complaints from investors, stockbrokers, and regulators, and runs the different queries.
    • Provide effective support to Stockbroking firms relating to know-your-customer (KYC) update process.
    • Perform ad-hoc tasks and provide requisite reports as assigned by Unit/Departmental Head.

    Job Requirements

    Collateral Management Officer

    Job Objectives

    • To ensure that the processing of lien (pledge), margin, securities lending and other collateral management task are promptly and efficiently executed to preserve customers’ confidence and satisfaction.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Responsible for Central Securities Depository (CSD) Lien/pledge account management. Create and release lien; produce lien advice; generate, analyze, and disseminate lien information (reporting) to stakeholders.
    • Margin Lending administration. Create Margin account; onboard and offboard clients; detach shares; generate analyze and disseminate information (reporting).
    • Process and execute Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) transactions. Detach shares to and from Lender, Agent pool and borrower account.

    Job Objectives

    • The post holder will ensure company Plc’s story is well understood by the financial community and help investors (current and potential) make informed decisions in their actions regarding the Company’s equity by providing up-to-date information about the Company’s operations and financial performance.

    Quality Service Assurance Officer

    Job Objectives

    • To review the operation’s service delivery platform to identify the shortcomings of each user’s experience vis a vis the enterprise service expectation.
    • Engage the team leads and Head of Department on remedial measures to improve the service experience. Support various Operations units to ensure that service delivery meets defined quality metrics and enhances client experience.
    • Work closely with various Operations units to ensure fully reconciled Central Securities Depository (CSD) positions at both Symbol and Investor levels.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Monitor the operational activities of various units within the Division to ensure that defined quality metrics are met.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for identified quality issues and prepare relevant reports as specified.
    • Liaise closely with various Operations units to ensure fully reconciled Central Securities Depository (CSD) positions at both Symbol and Investor levels.
    • Liaise with Contact Center to identify pending client requests with dependencies on various Operations teams and follow through resolution.
    • Work closely with various to ensure that internal processes and standard operating procedures are periodically reviewed and updated ahead of routine checks by Internal Control and Audit.
    • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
    • Generate relevant reports for capital market apex regulator (SEC), Self-Regulator (The Nigerian Exchange Limited – NGX), Auditing firms (for audit purpose) and Law Enforcement Agencies (EFCC, NPF)
    • Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Unit/Departmental Head.

    E-lodgment & Registrar Services Officer

    Job Objective

    • To ensure that all e-lodgment & registrar and other depository requests are efficiently processed in a manner that would enhance customer satisfaction and confidence.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Manage the securities lodgment and withdrawal process for all asset classes including Equities and Fixed income instruments (Federal, State and Corporate Bonds, Commercial Papers), certificates.
    • Responsible for providing assistance and support to internal and external customers on enquiries regarding the E-lodgment and Registrar services.
    • Be responsible for liaison and interface with capital market stakeholders, primarily Registrars and other Transfer Agents
    • Process dematerialization and rematerialization of securities.
    • Carry out timely reconciliations and generate periodic and ad-hoc reports
    • Process closure advice of registers of quoted companies and Market-wide notifications on corporate actions and new listings.
