    Finance Manager

    JOB SUMMARY: 

    • The Finance Manager reports to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors and helps the leadership to make informed decisions that align with AACE Food’s long-term goals as well as guides management on financial plans.
    • He/She will analyze daily financial activities and monitor financial performance, develop and implement financial plans that support the organization’s growth and profitability.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    He/She will be:

    Accountable and Responsible for:

    • Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
    • Advising on investment activities and providing strategies that the company should take.
    • Maintaining the financial health of the organization.
    • Analyzing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
    • Developing trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
    • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
    • Overseeing operations of the finance department, setting goals and objectives, and designing a framework for these to be met.
    • Managing the preparation of the company’s budget.
    • Liaising with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
    • Corresponding with various other departments, discussing company plans, and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
    • Preparing board papers for the use of directors at periodic board meetings
    • Monitoring compliance with laws and regulations by ensuring that legal and regulatory documents are filed promptly.
    • Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Degree in Accounting or Banking and Finance, or any other related field (master’s degree, MBA is an advantage).
    • Professional certification/membership of ICAN, ACCA.
    • 7-9 years experience in finance & accounting with a minimum of 4 years in senior management.
    • Deep understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS and its business application
    • Good working experience with Sage ERP.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
    • Commercial and business awareness.
    • Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
    • A keen eye for detail and a desire to probe further into data.
    • Ability to stick to time constraints.

    HR Officer

    Job Summary:

    • We seek a detail-oriented, enthusiastic individual for the role of HR Officer.
    • He/She will assist the HR Manager by performing and supervising the various HR and administrative processes and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

    Job Responsibilities:

    He/She will be responsible for:

    • Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
    • Participating in the recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, and management of the hiring process.
    • Assisting in performance management processes.
    • Supporting the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
    • Ensuring legal compliance with employment and working conditions.
    • Assisting in preparing monthly payroll for all staff.
    • Organizing new employee orientation and onboarding process.
    • Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and programs.
    • Creating and maintaining all HR databases.
    • Providing support to all employees in all HR-related activities.
    • Executing HR strategies and programs across the organization.
    • Assisting in the development and execution of learning and development programs across the organization.
    • Providing administrative support as may be required.
    • Generating and submitting relevant reports on all HR activities.

    Required Skills and Knowledge:

    • First degree or its equivalent in business administration, human resource management, or any other related field.
    • Relevant work experience.
    • Ability to communicate fluently in English (verbally & written).
    • Ability to use MS Office Suites.
    • Keen attention to detail.
    • Strong planning skills.
    • Good interpersonal and relationship skills.
