    Nutrition Officer

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nutrition Program Officer to lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of WIMROF's nutrition-focused initiatives.
    • The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the health and well-being of underserved communities by developing and delivering targeted nutrition programs.
    • This includes working closely with the programs and health teams to promote sustainable nutrition practices and ensure measurable impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and implement nutrition programs that address the specific needs of target communities.
    • Conduct assessments to identify nutritional gaps and develop intervention strategies.
    • Provide technical guidance on nutrition-related issues to WIMROF staff and stakeholders.
    • Develop educational materials and organize training sessions on healthy eating and nutrition.
    • Collaborate with the health and program teams to integrate nutrition into broader health initiatives.
    • Monitor and evaluate program impact through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
    • Liaise with community leaders and stakeholders to promote program acceptance and participation.
    • Prepare program reports for internal use and donor reporting.
    • Stay updated on global best practices and guidelines related to nutrition and health.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing nutrition programs.
    • Strong knowledge of community-based nutrition strategies and interventions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and produce clear, actionable reports.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Experience working with underserved communities is an advantage.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking an engaging and creative Podcast Host to lead WIMROF's new podcast series.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, hosting, and managing episodes focused on issues affecting underserved communities, including women's empowerment, health, education, and economic development.
    • This role requires a strong understanding of storytelling, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and inspire listeners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and host podcast episodes that align with WIMROF's mission and key focus areas.
    • Research and identify relevant topics and potential guests to feature on the podcast.
    • Conduct engaging interviews with guests, including beneficiaries, experts, and partners.
    • Write scripts and episode outlines to ensure clear, consistent messaging.
    • Collaborate with the communications team to promote the podcast and increase audience engagement.
    • Ensure highquality audio production by coordinating with sound engineers or using editing software.
    • Monitor audience feedback and adapt content to improve reach and impact.
    • Maintain a consistent publishing schedule and manage the overall production timeline.
    • Stay informed on social issues and trends to keep content relevant and impactful.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field (preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hosting, broadcasting, or public speaking.
    • Strong interviewing and storytelling skills.
    • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Experience with audio recording and editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition) is an advantage.
    • Ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences.

    Mental Health Officer

    Role Overview

    • The successful candidate will work closely with the programs and health teams to provide mental health support, raise awareness, and promote emotional well-being within the communities we serve.
    • This role requires a strong understanding of mental health issues, community-based interventions, and the ability to provide culturally sensitive support.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement mental health programs tailored to the needs of underserved communities.
    • Conduct mental health assessments and provide individual and group counseling sessions.
    • Train staff and community volunteers on mental health awareness and first aid.
    • Create and distribute educational materials to promote mental health awareness.
    • Collaborate with health and programs teams to integrate mental health into broader health initiatives.
    • Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing psychological distress.
    • Monitor and evaluate program impact through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
    • Liaise with community leaders to ensure culturally appropriate delivery of mental health services.
