    Packaging Electrician I

    The Key Purpose of this role is to provide specialized electrical artisan skill and knowledge to the shift team, and to support the operation and maintenance of the Packaging Hall and to perform and assist in problem solving.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    Health, Safety & Environment

    • Comply with safe, health and environmental procedures and legislation.
    • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
    • Identification of unsafe practices through SIO's.
    • Safety inspections conducted.
    • Safe maintenance practices audited.
    • Adherence to PPE policies.
    • Maintenance tools are in good working order.

    Maintain & Repair Plant & Associated Devices

    • Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation and or systems.
    • Plan and prepare the job.
    • Carry out repairs / maintenance.
    • Operate workshop equipment .

    Work In Teams

    • Communicate effectively in teams.
    • Contribute to self and team development.

    Work Orders Complete

    • Backlog.
    • Generate tags for follow on work.
    • Satisfied customers – no rework.

    Operational Support

    • Provide specialist support to the shift based teams during operations.
    • Assist as functional expert in problem solving.

    Planned Maintenance

    • Take part in maintenance planning meeting, contributing suggestions and clarifying work required.
    • Carry out work during the planned maintenance outage in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner.
    • Partake in maintenance post mortems to feedback problems, opportunities and learnings from maintenance activities.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Trade Tested N3 Electrical.
    • Electrical artisan - Trade Tested.
    • 1-2 years as an Electrical Artisan in similar industry.
    • ​Min: 2-3 months on the job training.
    • Ideal: 3-6 months on the job training.

    Environment Operator

    The Key Purpose of this role is to operate the Biological Treatment System (BTS) plant and associated process areas, the execution of quality control checks and 
    analyses, including coaching of other team members and supporting the Process Artisan in carrying out asset care activities.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Interpret and implement plan for shift.
    • Monitor processes on shift for the BTS.
    • Ensure process quality and productivity.
    • Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Co-ordinate autonomous maintenance and cleaning.
    • Achieve BTS PTS compliance targets.
    • Communicate effectively in the workplace.
    • Ensure application of administration systems & procedures.
    • Contribute to self and team development.
    • Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles as per VPO management pillar.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • National Diploma in Chem, Eng or QA Sciences
    • IBD certificate
    • Completed traineeship and/or In Service Trainee program.
    • 2 - 5 years experience in a Brewing/QA environment.
    • Previous experience in a process controlled manufacturing environment, ideally in food FMCG products.
    • 6 months on the job training.
    • Ideally, a process understanding of the Brewing process Value Chain from Raw 
    • materials transfer to BBT.
    • PC literacy (Microsoft/SAP).
