    Human Resources Officer

    Job Objective

    This role supports the Human Resources Team in its administrative and operational function which includes recruitment, onboarding, compensation and payroll administration, policy implementation, HMO administration, and Exit process management in line with company procedure and policies. This role is also responsible for providing and analysing HR data for decision making and provision of reporting dashboards and metrics.
    Job Duties

    • Administration of Regulatory Remittances such as PAYE, PENCOM, NSITF and obtainment of compliance certificates
    • Maintain accurate and up to date records of all employee data in specific staff files, HR folders on SharePoint and on the HRIS (ERP)
    • Manage, document, resolve or escalate employee welfare issues and take or recommend appropriate solutions or action
    • Registration and administration of Health Insurance, Group Life/Group Personal Accident and other appropriate welfare benefits to employees
    • Operational and administrative support to HR Business Partner’s for the respective SBU’s in the areas of recruitment, leave administration, documentation and compliance
    • Support the HR Operations manager in the automation of HR Processes and other operational tasks
    • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
    • Administer and maintain HR database and systems, including ERP and SharePoint and all other relevant platforms
    • Monitor compliance with HR Policies and Processes and provide compliance reports
    • Initiate and carry out the scheduled HR Policy reviews and updates in collaboration with stakeholders
    • Provide support to the Head of Human Resources and HRBP’s in coordinating performance management activities across the SBUs.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Human Resources

    Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

    • Minimum of a good first degree in management, humanities, or social sciences
    • CIPM, HRCI or SHRM-CP or other professional qualifications relevant to the role would be an advantage.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a similar role
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Target oriented and focused
    • Ability to work and deliver results in a high-pressure environment, balanced between strategic and operational focus
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and with pleasant and outgoing personality
    • Strong digital literacy with strong knowledge and abilities using SharePoint as an administrator and Microsoft, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong abilities and understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365
    • Experience utilizing Microsoft office suite
    • Must be able to meet strict delivery timeliness
    • Ability to be proactive and forward thinking
    • Knowledge and understanding of relevant laws and regulation

    Human Resources Business Partner

    Job Objective

    An HR Business Partner is responsible for aligning actions/behaviours of employees in designated strategic business units (SBUs) with company strategy and business objectives. The position serves as a consultant to SBU’s on human resource-related issues and represents the talent interests of the designated SBU. The HRBP will ensure that the people perspective is represented in business decisions so that implications are understood, and the workforce is proactively managed. The HRBP is an advocate for both the employer and employee and is to proffer HR solutions focused on organisational outcomes and on improving employee and organisational culture, performance and productivity, and aligned to business needs and best practice trends
    Job Duties

    •   Understand the strategic objectives and operations of designated SBU’s and provide integrated and timely solutions to their human resources related needs.
    •   Anticipate and resolve employee relations issues before they impact the business by continuous engagement with relevant line managers. Proffer and implement effective solutions where required.
    •   Plan and maintain data on Manpower Planning and recruitment for designated SBU’s.  Perform end to end recruitment, including interviewing, onboarding and post hire activities.
    •  Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies for designated SBUs.
    •   Develop in-depth knowledge and stay abreast of legal requirements for employee relations to reduce exposure to risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as required.
    •   Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
    •   Provide guidance and input on business unit structures, workforce planning, performance management and succession planning.
    •   Provide performance management guidance to line management (performance monitoring and evaluation, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
    •   Adjust HR strategies to respond to changing business needs for designated SBUs.
    •   Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
    •   Liaise with designated SBU Heads and line managers to identify and implement training needs and solutions for SBUs.
    •   Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure success. Provide post training feedback.
    •   Attend and drive discussions regarding people issues in SBU, team and strategy meetings and performance review sessions.
    •   Prepare of contract terms for new hires; promotions and transfers in designated SBUs.
    •   Communicate organizational culture and updates on HR initiatives to designated SBUs.
    •   Resolve problems and manage competing personalities in the execution of business plans
    •   Hold periodic HR engagement meetings with designated SBUs.
    •   Act as single point of contact on all human resources related issues for designated SBUs, including recruitment
    •   Perform any other duties assigned by the Head, Human Resources.

    Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline
    • Masters in a relevant discipline would be an advantage
    • Minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience in a similar role
    •   Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

    Finance Manager

    Job Duties

    Financial Reporting

    • Liaise with the Management to develop/update and implement financial and accounting policies, procedures and strategies across the Group
    • Maintain the general ledger and manage all posts intercompany financial transactions, making accruals and adjustments as needed
    • Create and update “chart of accounts” monthly to reflect account management activities  
    • Act to ensure the integrity of the Company’s ledgers and associated systems
    • Review all financial accounts/reports/reconciliation, ensure adherence to the financial reporting cycle and present timely reports to the Group MD
    • Track and monitor revenue for accuracy
    • Act to ensure that revenue is allocated correctly, taking corrective action where inconsistencies arise  
    • Identify and evaluate areas for improvement of profit with particular regard to cost reductions and methodology
    • Oversee proper capturing of financial transactions.  
    • Maintain existing relationships with relevant external bodies e.g. auditors, financial institutions, regulatory organizations etc.
    • Supervise the capture of financial data across all locations
    • Carry out financial analysis and prepare reports for collation  
    • Act to ensure compliance with the Group’s financial policies, procedures and standards
    • Supervise cash receipt and payments across all locations
    • Oversee the preparation of the Company’s trial balance and financial reports (accounts receivables report, balance sheet, profit and loss accounts, payroll accounts) and manage the consolidation of financial information
    • Implement control systems and processes across the Group to secure the assets of the organization
    • Provide coaching and technical support to team members

    Tax

    • Develop and drive the implementation of tax strategies, policies and procedures
    • Lead the Tax planning process and audits, ensuring that tax liabilities / exposures are minimized with the approval of the Head, Finance and Accounts
    • Provide internal tax advisory services to the Group to ensure tax efficiency e. g Payroll structuring  
    • Oversee the preparation of all applicable tax computations e.g. CIT, WHT, VAT, etc.
    • Put in place measures and liaise with relevant colleagues to ensure prompt processing and remittance of tax payments and the reconciliation of all tax accounts
    • Keep up to date with current industry tax practices and regulations and proactively advise management as appropriate  
    • Set up an effective tax record management, update and reporting process and drives execution  
    • Act to ensure that receipts and clearance certificates due to the Company and/or employees are collected for all tax payments  
    • Conduct regular in-house tax reviews and oversees the preparation of tax self-assessments  
    • Respond to and act to ensure adequate follow-up to resolve tax queries from the Tax authorities
    • Liaise with and monitor the performance of retained tax consultants on tax issues and reports to the Head, Finance and Accounts as appropriate
    • Manage and oversee team performance through performance planning, coaching and performance appraisals

    Any other duty assigned by the Head of Finance or Managing Director
    Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

    •      B.SC in Finance, Accounting or a related field
    • Relevant professional qualification will be an advantage (CFA, ACA).
    • Applicant must possess 8-12 years’ experience in a similar role.
    • Must be Chartered - ICAN/ ACCA.
    • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Applicant must be competent in the use of Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to work under pressure and with little supervision.
    • Excellent verbal and writing communication Skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
