    HR Consultant to Develop Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs)

    Background

    • Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE) is a national non-governmental organization registered in Nigeria since 2007 and implementing a range of humanitarian and developmental programs in different parts of Nigeria.
    • GREENCODE programs are in the areas of Nutrition, Protection (GBV)/Sexual and Reproductive Health, WASH, Shelter/NFI/CCCM, Food Security/Livelihood, Accountable Governance, Environmental Management, andPeace Building.
    • Arising from the Board and Management’s desire to build and improve the functioning of the organization to a national NGO of excellence, the BOT/MGT have agreed to contract a Human Resource expert to review the existing HR systems and work with the HR staff to improve and standardize the HR/Admin unit operations by developing a HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • The consultants will review past and present OCAT reports, interact with HR team, to further identify gaps and draft HR SOPs, recommend and set up HR software systems, templates etc

    Objectives
    The key objective of this consultancy is to develop a comprehensive, clear, and practical set of HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that will:

    • Ensure consistency in HR operations across all departments.
    • Align HR processes with the organization’s strategic goals and best practices.
    • Provide clear guidelines for all key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, leave management, disciplinary processes, grievance procedures and compliance.
    • Foster transparency, efficiency, and compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.
    • Build the capacity of HR staff to implement and adhere to the new SOPs effectively.

    • GREENCODE programs are in the areas of Nutrition, Protection (GBV)/Sexual and Reproductive Health, WASH, Shelter/NFI/CCCM, Food Security/Livelihood, Accountable Governance, Environmental Management, and peace Building.
    • Arising from the Board and Management’s desire to build and improve the functioning of the organization to a national NGO of excellence, the BOT/MGT have agreed to contract an Administration expert to review the existing Admin systems and work with the Admin staff to improve and standardize the HR/Admin unit operations by developing an Office Administration Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • The consultants will review past and present OCAT reports, interact with Admin team to further identify gaps and draft Admin SOPs, recommend and set up Admin software systems, templates etc

    Objectives
    The consultancy aims to develop a comprehensive set of Office Administration SOPs that will:

    • Ensure consistency in office operations across all departments.
    • Align administrative processes with organizational strategic goals and best practices.
    • Provide clear guidelines for key administrative functions including document management, communication protocols, meeting procedures, and compliance.
    • Foster transparency and adherence to organizational policies.
    • Build the capacity of HR staff to implement and adhere to the new SOPs effectively.

    HR Consultant to Review Human Resource Policies

    Background

    • Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE) is a national non-governmental organization registered in Nigeria since 2007 and implementing a range of humanitarian and developmental programs in different parts of Nigeria.
    • GREENCODE programs are in the areas of Nutrition, Protection (GBV)/Sexual and Reproductive Health, WASH, Shelter/NFI/CCCM, Food Security/Livelihood, Accountable Governance, Environmental Management, and Peace Building. Arising from the Board and Management’s desire to build and improve the functioning of the organization to a national NGO of excellence, the BOT/MGT have agreed to hire the service of a Human Resource (HR) expert to strengthen the human resource function of the organization through a thorough review of the HR policy of the organization.
    • The consultants will review past and present OCAT reports, interact with HR team to further identify gaps, draft HR policies, propose standard operating structure (SOPs) for the HR unit, recommend and set up HR software systems, templates etc

    Objectives

    • The primary objective of the HR Consultant is to review GREENCODE’s HR policy and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.

    The key objectives are:

    • Conduct a comprehensive audit of the current HR policies and practices, identifying areas for improvement or revision.
    • Develop HR manual for the organization
    • Ensure that policy comply with local labor laws and align with NGO best practices.
    • Updated HR policy to reflect the organization’s values and objectives, promoting employee well-being, professional development, and organizational efficiency.
    • Support the implementation of the revised HR policy through training and capacity building for HR staff and managers.
