    Head, International Control and Audit

    Responsibilities

    • Reviews and appraises the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, compliance procedures and controls and timeliness of documentation generation.
    • Assesses the adequacy and extent of programs designed to safeguard organization assets.
    • Compiles and issues report detailing conclusions and providing recommendations for improvements.
    • Streamline our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business financial issues, promote regulatory compliance, and drive income generation.
    • Collaborate with management in driving the Fraud risk management program.
    • Manages performance of audit assignments, reviews workpapers and audit reports; edits reports prepared by other auditors in the team.
    • Schedules and plans audits; initiates project planning, assess risk and develops audit direction.
    • Performs preliminary planning and establishes direction for audits, provides leadership to assigned auditors, manage project to quality outcomes, while meeting established time budget.
    • Performs audit work, including plan preparation, workpapers, finding, and associated reports;
    • Verifies the accuracy of financial records as they pertain to assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, and related transactions.
    • Interact with other departments, staff and vendors to ensure adherence to laid down controls and policies, and with external audit and law enforcement agencies.
    • Keeps abreast of company’s policies and procedures, current developments in accounting and auditing professions, and changes in local, state, and federal laws, as applicable.
    • Interacts with audit firms performing external audits of company’s financial statements.
    • Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of Finance, Accounting or Economics.
    • MBA/MSc is mandatory
    • CISA, CIA, CRISC, ACFE or ICAN
    • Preferably 10 - 15 years’ work experience in Internal Control & Audit with 5 - 7 years in managerial level.
    • Experience in top luxury companies and top tier banks will be an added advantage.
    • Candidate with work experience managing a team.
    • Candidates with work experience reporting to the Board.
    • Sound knowledge of COSO Internal control framework.
    • knowledge of IIA/ISACA/ACFE Standards.
    • Good knowledge of accounting policies and company procedures.
    • Information technology Control & Audit skills.
    • Proficient use of Microsoft office Packages.

    Head of Sales

    Job Responsibilities

    • Drive and maximize sales performance to consistently achieve the company's overall sales target while ensuring operational integrity and monitoring monthly profitably.
    • Develop initiatives to increase boutique sales.
    • Implement retention strategies to ensure POLO can continue to have mutually beneficial relationships with target customers.
    • Manage the achievement to business objectives, by utilizing a top client’s base.
    • Establish, maintain and follow up on current clients and potential client relationships.
    • Undertake customer and market analysis to identify proposition development opportunities within our existing customer base.
    • Enhance POLO service proposition across all outlets to drive increased customer satisfaction and brand advocacy.
    • Ensure that every customer feedback is put into a report and submitted weekly to the Executive Director.
    • Develop a client order form.
    • Total P&L accountability and annual budget sales planning and implementation.
    • Weekly review sales team performance and check on gaps in performance and seek reasons and actionable steps to close the gaps and also give them feedback, motivate and stimulate them to even greater achievements.
    • Work closely with the HR Manager in establishing standards for appraising performance.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline. M.Sc. in related course.
    • 15+ years of progressive experience in sales especially in FMCG, Telecoms, banking, luxury retail, etc.
    • Ability to build, execute, and follow the Company strategy
    • Proven ability to drive results and manage teams
    • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen
    • Accountability
    • Experience in managing, coaching, mentoring and developing a team
    • Passion for retail and luxury
    • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Packages

    Accountant

    Job Responsibilities

    • To ensure that all financial transactions are input into the accounting system
    • Responsible for integrity of General ledger
    • Implementing procedures according to Corporate policies and procedures
    • Producing multi-dimensional reports for Management decision
    • Ensuring that all costs are properly tracked and that OPEX and CAPEX are within budget
    • Costing of the Company’s products, materials, and services
    • Developing and implementing effective controls framework and management systems to guide and support business operation
    • To reconcile Company’s Bank Accounts
    • To maintain Fixed Assets registers
    • To assist with the preparation of the budget
    • To maintain and reconcile the general ledger
    • To maintain financial files and documents
    • To maintain and reconcile the accounts payable and receivable
    • To generate relevant financial reports that will aid management in taking key decisions
    • To reconcile all vendors’ accounts.
