    Graphic Design & Communications Officer

    Overview

    • Jhpiego is seeking to hire a Graphic Designer & Communications officer to provide specialized graphic design, layout, visualization and communication support for the C19 RM End of project documentation and Impact Evaluation and other GHS and QI initiatives, ensuring that analytical findings are translated into clear, professional, and donor-ready visual products.
    • The role will support graphics and layout designs for reports, manuscripts, dashboards, briefs, presentations, dissemination materials, ensuring consistency with Jhpiego branding requirements and donor communication standards.

    Responsibilities
    Reporting & Knowledge Products

    • Design and format EOPD and Impact Evaluation reports, technical briefs, executive summaries, and annexes.
    • Support layout and visual presentation of manuscripts, policy briefs, and learning products.
    • Develop tables, charts, infographics, and visual summaries that accurately reflect evaluation findings.
    • Enhance clarity, coherence, and readability of complex technical content without altering analytical meaning.

    Dissemination & Presentation Materials

    • Design presentation decks for validation workshops, dissemination events, and stakeholder briefings.
    • Develop factsheets, one-pagers, and visual summaries tailored to different audiences (technical, policy, donor).
    • Support packaging of evaluation findings for digital and print dissemination.

    Branding, Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure all design products comply with Jhpiego branding guidelines and donor visibility requirements.
    • Maintain consistency in fonts, color schemes, icons, and visual identity across all evaluation products.
    • Review drafts for visual accuracy and alignment with approved content.

    Coordination & Production Support

    • Work closely with the Program Manager to manage design timelines and revisions.
    • Incorporate feedback from technical teams and stakeholders efficiently.
    • Prepare final files for printing or digital dissemination, liaising with printers or service providers as required.
    • Maintain organized archives of design files and final products.
    • Support visual communication needs related to the Impact Evaluation, EOP documentation, and other Jhpiego Quality Improvement (QI) and Global Health Security (GHS) deliverables, as assigned.
    • Contribute to strengthening Jhpiego’s institutional knowledge products through high-quality design and visualization.

    Other Duties

    • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the Impact Evaluation, EOP documentation and other Jhpiego QI and GHS deliverable.

    Required Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Computer Science, or a related field
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience providing graphic design support to development, research, or evaluation projects.
    • Experience working with international development organizations or donor-funded programs.
    • Demonstrated experience designing reports, infographics, and technical publications
    • Experience supporting research, evaluation, or knowledge products is a strong advantage.

    Required Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

    • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
    • Microsoft PowerPoint (advanced formatting and design)
    • Microsoft Word (layout and formatting support)
    • Ability to work with charts, tables, and data visualizations provided by analysts

    Technical Advisor: Community Systems, Risk Communications and HRH

    Overview

    • Jhpiego is seeking to hire a Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Technical Advisor – Community Systems, Risk Communication & Human Resources for Health (HRH) that will provide specialized technical expertise to the Impact Evaluation, focusing on C19RM investments that strengthened community systems, risk communication and community engagement (RCCE), and the health workforce for pandemic preparedness and response.
    • The role is expected to have worked on the C19RM grant, can contribute to evaluation planning, resource development, data collection, analysis and findings related to subject matter, contextually grounded, and accurately interpreted within the broader health system and preparedness landscape. The SME will support framing of evaluation questions, validation of findings, and interpretation of people-centered and workforce-related impacts.

    Consultancy Duration: Short-term consultancy (approximately 60 days)

    Responsibilities

    Technical Framing of Evaluation Questions & Indicators

    • Provide expert input into evaluation questions, indicators, and analytical focus areas related to:
      • Community systems strengthening and community-based structures
      • Risk communication and community engagement (RCCE)
      • Health workforce surge capacity, training, deployment, and supervision
    • Ensure alignment of evaluation domains with C19RM investments and national community health and HRH strategies.

    Technical Review of Quantitative & Qualitative Findings

    • Review quantitative findings related to:
      • Workforce coverage, training reach, and deployment
      • Community system functionality and reach
    • Review qualitative findings to assess:
      • Effectiveness of RCCE strategies and messaging
      • Community trust, participation, and responsiveness
      • Health worker readiness, workload, and supervision
    • Validate interpretations and flag gaps, bias, or over-attribution.

    Interpretation of System-Level Impact & Sustainability

    • Assess the extent to which C19RM investments contributed to:
      • Strengthened community engagement and participation in preparedness and response
      • Improved risk awareness, health-seeking behavior, and adherence to public health measures
      • Enhanced HRH readiness for surge response and continuity of essential services
    • Provide expert judgment on sustainability, including:
      • Institutionalization of RCCE approaches
      • Workforce skills retention and supervision systems
      • Integration of community systems into routine health planning

    Contribution to Synthesis & Reporting
     

    • Provide concise technical inputs for synthesis sections related to:
      • Community systems and RCCE impact
      • HRH preparedness and resilience
    • Support the Team Lead and Senior Program Specialist in ensuring technical accuracy and clarity of narratives, tables, and figures.
    • Participate in validation workshops, technical reviews, and interpretation discussions as required.

    Contribution to Manuscript Development

    • Contribute technical documentation insights on community engagement, RCCE, and workforce readiness.
    • Review and validate interpretations related to behavior change, trust, and workforce capacity.
    • Support discussion of people-centered preparedness and sustainability.

    Other Duties

    Required Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Health Systems, Human Resources for Health, or a related field.

    Program Officer

    Overview

    • Jhpiego is seeking to hire a Community/Facility Assistant to support the implementation of the Holistic Approach to Reaching Mothers with Obstetric, Neonatal, and Youth (HARMONY) Care Project, funded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDSC) in Ebonyi State. The Program Officer will support the implementation of the Harmony Care project country office and state level. This includes specifically assisting with the development of procurement plan, support with capacity building on MNCH, webinars and other learning events and draft quarterly reports to the donor. In addition, they will support development of work plans, liaising with FMOH, NPHCDA and SMoH/SPHCDA staff, other partners and donors regarding implementation, development of success stories, monitoring and evaluation of programs .

    Responsibilities

    • Lead program coordination, specifically the MNCH activities at the national and state level
    • Development, implementation and monitoring of work plan and budgets.
    • Coordinate technical assistance for program implementation of learning activities such as webinars and technical briefs.
    • Assist the technical staff in the design implementation, monitoring and assessment of activities.
    • Write quarterly reports, annual work plans, project monitoring tracking indicators, target implementation plan and relevant reports as required.
    • Work closely with technical and program staff to ensure quality implementation of programs and monitor overall project level spending.
    • Assist in the development of new program approaches that are linked to related services
    • Work with project consultants to implement training, mentoring services and programs

    Required Qualifications

    • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in public health, sociology, or related health field
    • Familiarity with Nigeria’s health systems and reporting structure and demonstrated ability to collaborate with government level officials to strengthen program implementation with minimum of 5-7 years experience
    • Demonstrated ability in working and collaborating with a wide range of local and international partner organizations.
    • Demonstrated experience in maintaining donor relations. Excellent skills in facilitation, team building and coordination

    Quality Improvement Specialist

    Overview

    • Jhpiego is seeking to hire a Quality Improvement Specialist to support the implementation of the Holistic Approach to Reaching Mothers with Obstetric, Neonatal, and Youth (HARMONY) Care Project, funded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDSC) in Ebonyi State. The Quality Improvement Specialist will be responsible for providing on-site capacity building, clinical mentoring and supportive supervision across 15 health facilities implementing the HARMONY Care Project.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical guidance on RMNCAH services and quality improvement that is sound, evidence-based and responsive to the needs of the appropriate State and US
    • Provide onsite capacity building, mentoring and coaching using proven training approaches and quality improvement methodologies.
    • Provide trainings (providers and training of trainers) as well as follow-up support and clinical mentoring as necessary for QI.
    • Support service/quality improvement efforts, approaches and tools at all supported health facilities in selected states.
    • Support referral services and systems at the state to ensure they are functional.
    • Develop strategies for increasing the percentage of pregnant women, including married adolescents, attending group-antenatal care (G-ANC) and deliver under the care of a skilled birth attendant
    • Advocate with State Ministry of Health for adoption of new evidence based quality improvement (QI) best practices at health facilities in project sites.
    • Advocate with other ministries, community, NGO’s, and religious leaders to support and promote service/quality improvement components and increase uptake of health facility services by women and their children.
    • Represent program at state level stakeholder meetings and technical working groups in relation to service/quality improvement of RMNCH, Nutrition, Immunization and Malaria technical areas.

    Management

    • Contribute to annual work planning, training plans and quarterly reports and other required technical reports.
    • Contribute to timely, accurate and appropriate reporting of program activities and results.
    • Ensure quality program implementation.
    • Evaluate program progress against deliverables on a quarterly basis
    • Coordinate with the other members of the technical team and NGO partners to develop and implement feasible facility and community-based approaches
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the MNCH Technical Advisor which contribute to the achievement of program goals.

    Required Qualifications

    • An experienced Midwife/Nurse or any other closely related health care professional; other related courses (e.g. MPH, MSC or other relevant degree) will be an advantage.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in RMNCAH in Africa, preferably in Nigeria Demonstrated expertise in working directly with host-community, senior government officials and policy makers in RMNCAH.
    • Experience working with host-country partners, organizations, and institutions Strong skills in design, implementation and monitoring of program components, e.g. services, training, supportive supervision, clinical mentoring, advocacy and coordination.
    • Demonstrated capacity to work with State Ministry of Health, SPHCDA, Local Government Authority and partners in developing technical materials and providing training to improve service delivery, advocacy and resource mobilization for expanding quality improvement of MNCH+N services.
    • Experience with working on MNCH programs funded by the US Government and/or other donor programs in developing countries, with significant Nigeria experience.
    • Strong verbal, listening, writing, and intrapersonal skills, essential for effective coordination among several institutions and staff involved in a broad range of activities.
    • Fluent in English, (written and oral communication)
