    Government Liaison Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the main liaison between the company and federal/state government agencies, including the CBN, SEC, NITDA, NIBSS, NDIC, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
    • Monitor and interpret government policies, legislation, and regulations affecting the fintech industry, and advise internal stakeholders on their implications.
    • Represent the company at government meetings, public hearings, and industry events.
    • Proactively build and maintain relationships with key government officials, policymakers, industry associations, and advocacy groups.
    • Coordinate regulatory filings, license renewals, and ensure timely compliance with all statutory requirements.
    • Lead advocacy efforts on policy issues relevant to the company’s mission and operations.
    • Draft correspondence, position papers, briefing documents, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with the legal, compliance, product, and executive teams to ensure alignment with regulatory developments and emerging public policies.
    • Provide intelligence on political and regulatory developments that could affect business operations.
    • Support crisis and issues management in situations involving regulatory or government stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
    • 5+ years of experience in a government affairs, regulatory, legal, or policy role - ideally within fintech, banking, telecoms, or a related sector.
    • Deep understanding of Nigeria’s regulatory environment, especially as it pertains to financial services and emerging technologies.
    • Strong network within relevant government agencies and regulatory bodies.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to build strategic relationships and influence key stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
    • High level of integrity, professionalism, and political acumen.

    Preferred Attributes:

    • Prior experience working in, or with government ministries or agencies.
    • Experience navigating CBN and SEC regulations.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
    • Passion for technology, innovation, and financial inclusion in Africa.

    Multimedia / Graphic Designer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and produce high-quality graphics, animations, and videos for web, mobile, social media, and presentations.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create visuals that support campaigns, product launches, and user education.
    • Develop visual assets including illustrations, icons, infographics, and branding materials.
    • Translate complex fintech concepts into simple, engaging visual narratives.
    • Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual identity across all channels.
    • Edit video footage, add motion graphics, and optimize multimedia for different platforms.
    • Manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Multimedia, Visual Arts, or related field.

    • Strong portfolio showcasing a mix of static and motion design work.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Figma, or similar tools.
    • Understanding of UI/UX principles is a plus.

    Executive Assistant

    Key Responsibilities
    Executive Support:

    • Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate domestic/international travel.
    • Screen and prioritize communications (emails, calls, inquiries) for timely responses.
    • Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for executive meetings.
    • Administrative Coordination:
    • Organize board meetings, town halls, and stakeholder engagements; draft agendas and minutes.
    • Maintain confidential records and ensure data security.

    • Knowledge of Abuja’s business ecosystem and regulatory environment.
    • Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups.
    • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).
    • Understanding of fintech products (digital banking, blockchain, payments).
    • Certification in administrative support (e.g., CPS, CAP).

    Legal Compliance Officer

    Key Responsibilities
    Regulatory Compliance Management:

    • Monitor and implement compliance with CBN, SEC, NDPC, NFIU, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Secure and renew licenses (e.g., PSP, SEC crowdfunding, NDPC data permits).
    • Represent the company during regulatory audits and inspections.

    AML/CFT & KYC Oversight:

    • Design and enforce AML/CFT policies, including transaction monitoring and reporting to NFIU.
    • Conduct periodic KYC/AML training for staff and ensure adherence to EFCC guidelines.

    Data Privacy Compliance (NDPA 2023):

    • Implement data protection policies, conduct DPIAs, and appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO).
    • Manage cross-border data transfers and report breaches to NDPC within stipulated timelines.

    Consumer Protection & Risk Mitigation:

    • Ensure compliance with CBN’s Consumer Protection Framework, including transparent fee disclosures.
    • Resolve customer grievances promptly and review marketing materials for regulatory alignment.

    Cybersecurity & IT Governance:

    • Collaborate with IT teams to enforce CBN’s Cybersecurity Framework and NITDA standards.
    • Report cybersecurity incidents to regulators within 24 hours.

    Corporate Governance & Training:

    • Advise on corporate governance practices, including director eligibility under CBN’s “Fit and Proper” criteria.
    • Deliver compliance training programs for employees and senior management.

    Regulatory Reporting & Documentation:

    • Prepare quarterly reports for CBN/SEC and maintain records for audits.
    • Track regulatory updates (e.g., CBN circulars, proposed Fintech Law) and adjust policies accordingly.

    Cross-Border & Tax Compliance:

    • Secure CBN approvals for forex transactions and ensure compliance with FATF recommendations.
    • Liaise with FIRS on tax filings (CIT, VAT, withholding taxes).

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB; BL required) with  4+ years of compliance experience in financial services, fintech, or a regulated industry.
    • Deep knowledge of Nigerian regulations: CBN Act, NDPA 2023, SEC Rules, AML/CFT laws.
    • Proficiency in drafting policies, licenses, and regulatory correspondence.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Certification in compliance (e.g., CAMS, CDPO, or CISD).
    • Experience with regulatory sandbox participation.
    • Familiarity with digital assets, blockchain, or insurtech.
