    Business Development Executive

    Location: Ibadan, Oyo
    Contract Type: Permanent

    About the Job

    • The main area of focus is the generation of new leads with the aim of creating more patronage. This involves scheduling appointments, preparing and delivering presentations to clients
    • In addition, the development of revenue generation through training and research grants from the private and public sectors is a key function
    • The role also involves engaging trainees one on one and ensuring that they get value for money spent
    • The successful candidate will proactively target employers and educational institutions that are looking to develop human capacity in the area of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, securing initial meetings with decision-makers and following those clients throughout their journey with RAIN.

    Responsibilities

    • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
    • Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities.
    • Answering in bound calls; taking orders dealing with new enquiries
    • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
    • Finding and developing new markets and improving patronage.
    • Developing proposals and concluding deals with clients.
    • Welcoming visitors into the facility and leading them on tour.
    • Lead generation.
    • Meeting KPI's and targets by high volume and good quality calls.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Not more than 30 years of age as at the time of application
    • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years related experience or HND Qualification with 5+ years’ related experience in Sales, Marketing or related field.
    • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
    • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Proficiency in digital marketing

    Facility Manager

    Location: Ibadan, Oyo

    About the Job

    • The Facility Manager is the primary liaison between research members, management, course facilitators and other entities in the management of laboratory research space.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Uses advanced concepts to implement and coordinate building management procedures, including specialised consideration such as ventilation, fume hoods, gas lines, power, or use of hazardous materials.
    • Manages lab renovations, relocations, stock replenishment, special research infrastructure needs, maintenance service calls, and facility allocation.
    • Maintains an adequate inventory of equipment, chemicals, and other materials. And manages lab operations, PPEs, risk, health and safety.
    • Demonstrates and transfers comprehensive knowledge of project management.
    • Conducts personnel evaluations, recommends hiring and terminations, and performs other management functions.
    • Coordinates research collaborations and grants.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Not more than 35 years of age as at the time of application
    • Interested applicants must have either:
      • A second class (upper) BSc in a STEM field with 5 years relevant experience or
      • A master’s degree in a STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience or
      • 9 years of related experience.
    • Understands and uses effective project management techniques.
    • Advanced skill to multi-task and effectively prioritise large project work.
    • Advanced interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Advanced Project Management Certification.
    • Doctorate Degree in a STEM field.
    • A rich background in carrying out scientific research.
    • Advanced knowledge of modern engineering dynamics.
    • Knowledge of and familiarity with the scientific laboratory environment.

    Engineering Technician - Robotics (Control/Electronic/Mechanical)

    Location: Ibadan, Oyo

    About the Job

    • The Technician will work directly as a member of our product development team, applying their mechanical and electronic expertise to implement truly novel solutions to solve technical challenges.
    • They will work independently on pieces of the system, but will also work closely with other team members to ensure cohesive product performance.
    • Responsibilities will focus on launching new products into production and supporting prototype and production systems fielded at customer sites.

    Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoot robotic systems
    • Assemble and reassemble robots or peripheral equipment.
    • Fabricate components or systems, such as housings, jigs, fittings, or fixtures, using metalworking machines.
    • Train students and staff to install, use, or maintain robots.
    • Assist students in the design, configuration, or application of robotic systems.
    • Support engineering outreach and recruitment activities.
    • Develop product support documentation including maintenance instructions and troubleshooting guides.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Not more than 28 years of age as at the time of application
    • Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience; or HND with 5 years of relevant experience (preferably product prototyping / manufacturing)
    • Hands-on with basic workshop tools (e.g. drills, Dremel drills, hacksaw)
    • Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards
    • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
    • Knowledge of schematics, block diagrams, and electro/mechanical assembly drawings
    • Able to prioritise work effectively and provide technical support to students, faculty and staff
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks.
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Willing to learn new systems and protocols.
    • Preferred Qualifications (as applicable to your field):
    • Using and programming of CNC milling machine
    • Basic CAD software skills for 3D design and mechanical assembly
    • Excellent soldering skills
    • Preparing wire harness with multiple different type of connectors
    • Skills in control algorithms, microcontroller programming and embedded circuit design using modern software
    • Able to build, install, program, test, repair and maintain robotic equipment and related automated systems.
    • Experience working with microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.

    Salary

    • N60,000 - N 100,000 per month.

    IT Help Desk Assistant

    About the Job

    • The IT Help Desk Assistant is the primary go-to person for technical issues relating to computer, network/internet connectivity and social media within the facility.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provision of general IT support to computer users in the facility
    • Maintenance of security access equipment
    • Reservation of meeting rooms on a computerised booking system
    • Meeting and greeting clients in reception amongst other receptionist general duties in a warm, confident and happy manner
