JOB EXPECTATIONS
Content Production and Management
- Copy-write, proof-read, and revise communications to be published via the company’s communication channels
- Creating and supporting the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programs
- Collect, research, and prepare communication materials for external and internal audiences
- Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic
- Work with team lead to create media-related thought leadership materials
- Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, corporate newsletter content, social media content
- Compile a weekly list of the company’s news feature and important industry news
- Create and maintain a well-arranged content library

Public Relations and Promotion
- Leverage relationship with media personnel to promote the company’s visibility
- Design and launch online and offline marketing campaigns
- Promote products and services through public relations initiatives
- Develop marketing communications campaigns for all product range

Our client is on the verge of opening the very best Cafe in Abuja and are looking to put together an amazing team to drive the operations of our Cafe.
We are looking for a Bar Man to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.
He will be responsible for educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should also be able to work various shifts.
Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.
Other responsibilities include;
- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare beverages following recipes
- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
- Receive and process payments (cash and debit cards)
- Keep the bar area clean
- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to your Line manager and recommend new menu items

The Chef's responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should also be familiar with sanitation regulations. If you have experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you’ll prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights our guests.
Other responsibilities include;
- Ensure appealing plate presentation
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
- Monitor food stock and place orders
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum of 2yr experience in a similar role
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta maker e.t.e)
- Good knowledge of African and Continental dishes
- Good knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
- Leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Certification from a Culinary school or related certificate would be a plus
