    Competent Person in Lifting Operation (CPLO) M/F

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Competent Person in Lifting Operation (CPLO) to join its work force in Nigeria.

    • Ensuring at all time compliance with CR-EP-LSO-043 throughout COMPANY installations and sites, with reference to all handling and lifting operation and equipment.
    • Assisting Technical Authority in carrying out his role related to lifting and handling operations.
    • Give lifting advice to RSES when required
    • Supporting all sites with Technical Information relating to lifting within COMPANY installations and sites.
    • Providing technical expertise to Operations, Project, Well Engineering, and Business Development and has authority to provide solutions to technical challenge with regards to lifting operations.
    • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with departments.
    • Monitors and advises on all handling and lifting operations and provide assistance as required to COMPANY installations and sites.
    • Acts as handling and lifting authority on validation of contractor's key deliverables and prescribed audits as necessary.
    • Review/audit annual scope of inspection and assessment of lifting and handling operations.
    • Provide technical input on contractor and consultant selection with lifting and handling content.
    • Participate in internal and external technical audits.
    • Represents COMPANY on industry committees and specialist forums involving legislative authorities and other oil and gas operators.
    • Promote best practice and use of innovative technology including maintenance of the CMS principles and the LMS.
    • Participates in incident investigation.
    • Initial contact when non-certified structural steel is required.
    • Assessing the personnel competencies to carry out lifting and handling operations.
    • Proposing individuals for SLS nomination.

    QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Technical Engineer and / or Industrial related qualifications such as LEEA/ OPITO / CPA Technical Engineering or Science degree
    • 10 years verifiable experience in lifting and handling industry at supervisory level
    • Broad and extensive knowledge in Lifting operations and equipment
    • Working to International standards
    • Experienced in Oil and Gas Industry
    • Worked in onshore, inshore and offshore operations
    • Risk assessment in relation to health, safety & environment
    • Lift classification and planning
    • Supervision of critical lifts
    • Assessment of personnel competence for lifting operations
    • Experience in training and coaching
    • Experience in Lifting and handling Audit
    • Possession of industry related qualification LEEA/ NSL / OPITO up to Level 3
    • Work to international standards such as BS, LOLER, ISO, API, etc.
    • Broad and extensive knowledge in handling and lifting appliances and operation
    • Good knowledge in lifting equipment inspection
    • Ability to prepare or review lifting engineering calculations and risk assessments.
    • Experience in training and coaching is preferred
    • Good communication skills in English.

    Lead Fabric Maintenance - Offshore M/F

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Lead Fabric Maintenance - Offshore to join its work force in Nigeria. 

    • Pursue within FO site team the HSE objectives defined by line management.
    • Carryout Emergency and Routine Maintenance work activities offshore, to include but not limited to repair of flowlines, pipelines and structural repairs.
    • Ensures all NI/NC notifications are properly assessed and assigned to the right teams for execution and completion of works
    • To extend the work scopes to include Stainless and Duplex steel piping works, larger diameter piping repairs and new installations.
      Introduction to GRE/GRP materials in piping, grating and handrails maintenance.
    • He is the Company’s representative in charge of these activities and Company main contact for the Emergency and Fabric Maintenance
      work works external Contractors.
    • Participates in the routine FO, HSE etc. and follow up scheduled actions
    • Manages the interfaces linked to these activities with the relevant COMPANY entities.
    • Prepares (with management validation), and defends budgets related to his activities before NAPIMS.
    • Prepares and ensures effective management of the various Routine Maintenance Works Contracts.
    • Analyses and validates estimates provided by Contractors and verify the estimates in line with the contracts clauses.
    • Supervise the preparation and the execution of the works are correctly performed.
    • Organize and follow the logistics between the different onshore worksites and base.
    • Organizes the receipt of the works performed (in particular the prefabrications performed in the Contractors workshops).
    • Deal closely with field operations in maintenance, procurement, construction, projects and logistics for effective execution of Campaign of works.
    • Ensures that the QA/QC requirements are totally respected and in line with Nigerian Regulations and Company Rules.
    • Establishes & follows punch lists when required and ensure that the relevant documentation is supplied following the needs and correctly archived
    • Ensure closeout of Site intervention Notifications and Work orders in UNISUP
      Define the material stock levels and reviews stock quantities, usage and consumption to minimize the stock value, whilst ensuring that all spare parts are available for routine, defect and shutdown maintenance.
      Coaches Fabric Maintenance Contractors and field operations staff by establishing methods to improve their technical level and expertise in works repairs.
    • Provides technical support to the JV Sites including maintenance engineers and FM supervisors on site

    QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Civil or Mechanical Engineer.
    • At least 15 to 20 years of experience in construction/ SD / Maintenance activities and management of operations in industrial oil & gas context and project management.
    • Capability to manage HSE aspects (in particular respect of safety rules) including management of these aspects by external entities.
    • Specific professional knowledge: SAP/R3 (UNISUP).
    • Good knowledge of technical rules and quality level required for these activities.
    • Ability to work in a large multinational team.
    • Ability to manage an integrated team.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
