    Head of Operations

    Job Summary    
    In this role, you will be responsible for carefully overseeing all areas of production operations, supervising, training and managing staff members. 

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Oversee all services offered as well as the daily duties of all other team members
    • Oversee work schedules for staff members
    • Ensure proper functioning of all production equipment
    • Ensure that the workstations are clean and well-maintained at all times
    • Ensure staff members are well groomed and properly dressed at all times

    Submit daily reports on the job progress from all units to the Business Manager
    Perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    Academic qualifications,

    Professional Certifications    BSc/BA in Business Administration or related field
    Experience    1-2 years’ experience as a production supervisor or related field.

    Competency and Skill Requirements    Technical Skill

    • Proficient using Microsoft Suite and other data entry software
    • Extensive knowledge of management theory and its practical applications in the workplace
    • Highly experienced in the management of day-to-day activities
    • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments
    • Experience analyzing company needs, employee development and goal setting
    • Experience with customer service and conflict resolution
    • Excellent decision-making.

    Soft Skills

    • Ability  to motivate people on your team and across departments
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments

    Quality Control officer

    In this role, you are responsible for ensuring the overall production process runs smoothly and efficiently by monitoring production and embellishment processes.
    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Ensure that the safety standards are being maintained within the factory and that team members are abiding by workplace safety rules.
    • Develop and implement innovative strategies for seamless operations.
    • Ensure that factory machinery is in good working order.
    • Analyze production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
    • Ensure the supply of fabric and other production materials are of good quality.
    • Collaborate with the designer and design assistant in preparing job cards.
    • Assign tasks from the job cards to machinists.
    • Carry out fabric tests with the production team.
    • Hand out fabrics and accessories to machinists and beaders.
    • Oversee production process and curtail unnecessary wastage.
    • Carry out quality control checks on all garments worked on by machinist and beaders.
    • Ensure quality control on in-process and finished garments.
    • Monitor team members to achieve the daily production targets.
    • Plan production meetings, production activities, team schedules, machine maintenance schedules and maintains budgets and product quality.
    • Ensure that the production process conforms to company standards.
    • Stay abreast of the latest fashion trends and product competition.

    Perform other tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    •  5 years plus experience in garment making.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
    • Basic tailoring experience is required.
