    Medical Laboratory Scientist

    Medbury Healthcare Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join its Diagnostics Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory analyses, ensuring accuracy in test results, and supporting physicians in disease diagnosis and patient management. The role requires strict adherence to quality control standards, laboratory safety, and regulatory compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests including hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, parasitology, and immunology.
    • Ensure all tests are conducted accurately and reported promptly to support clinical decision-making.
    • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments regularly.
    • Adhere to quality control protocols and participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
    • Collect, label, and store specimens following established laboratory safety standards.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of test results, reagents, and consumables.
    • Assist in the review and improvement of laboratory processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with ISO standards.
    • Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS).
    • Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
    • Minimum of 2–4 years relevant experience in a medical diagnostic or hospital laboratory.

    Technical & Functional Skills:

    • Proficiency in routine laboratory procedures and use of automated analyzers.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy.
    • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of infection prevention and biosafety measures.

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet turnaround time (TAT) requirements.

    Radiographer

    Role Summary:

    Medbury Healthcare Group is recruiting an experienced and patient-focused Radiographer to join its Diagnostics Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality medical images used for diagnosis and treatment. The role requires technical precision, strong interpersonal skills, and adherence to radiation safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate X-ray, CT, MRI, and other imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images as requested by physicians.
    • Ensure patients are correctly positioned to obtain accurate and clear images.
    • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
    • Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.
    • Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information.
    • Assist in training and mentoring junior imaging staff or interns when required.
    • Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians to ensure timely delivery of reports and patient care.

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging Science.
    • Valid practicing license from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
    • Minimum of 2–4 years practical experience in diagnostic imaging within a hospital or diagnostic center.

    Technical & Functional Skills:

    • Proficiency in operating X-ray, CT, and MRI machines.
    • Knowledge of radiation protection and safety standards.
    • Good understanding of anatomy and imaging protocols.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
