    Financial Reporting Accountant (Upstream Oil and Gas)

    Key Deliverables

    • Perform month-end close activities which includes but not limited to: GL reconciliation/clean up, subledger module closure for all entities, run month–end accrual process and post into GL
    • Prepare and submit monthly accounts, TB, and relevant schedules to Management & Business Performance Management unit.
    • Conduct variance analysis and periodic business performance monitoring on all assets.
    • Prepare annual Financial Statements for all the upstream companies.
    • Provide Internal and External Auditors with all necessary information to facilitate prompt closure of audit.
    • Prepare intercompany matrix and reconcile all differences between related entities.
    • Responsible for leading treasury officer, account payable officer and tax officer.
    • Prepare cash flow projections and manage companies liquidity at every point.

    • Previous industry knowledge with minimum of four years’ experience in

    Minimum Qualification

    • A chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA) with Accounting, Audit & Financial Reporting (Major in Finance/Accounting) background.
    • At least 4 years of oil & gas upstream experience with an upstream Oil and Gas Company or reputable audit firm
    • Knowledge/Skills
    • Previous industry knowledge with minimum of four years’ experience in
    • Financial Reporting with detailed knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS) and oil and gas upstream.
    • Oil and Gas Upstream Tax Laws.
    • Good working knowledge of ORACLE Accounting Systems, Sun Systems and MS Office programs especially Excel and PowerPoint is required.
    • Good work ethics, communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

    Human Resource Business Partner (Upstream Oil and Gas)

    Responsibilities
    Talent Acquisition & Development:

    • Coordinate recruitment process, review applications/resumes; assist managers with screening applicants.
    • Collaborate with Group ER to coordinate new hire paperwork to ensure compliance with human resources policies and procedures.
    • Partner with managers to plan, analyze, and develop staffing needs and determine organizational structure.
    • Identify employee needs regarding performance, training, and career development. Make recommendations accordingly to line managers and the head of Business.

    Performance Management:

    • Help drive the creation of awareness of the Performance Management system and its processes in the company.
    • Monitor performance evaluation process for E & P and OFSE entities.
    • Provide support to Line Managers in creating SMART goals that are reflective of the organization's top-line objective.

    Process Management, Statutory:
    Compliance & Reporting:

    • Provide direct support to the HR business partner in the areas of organisational design, Change Management, succession planning, and learning & development activities.
    • Create innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements of HR efficiency in service delivery to all its stakeholders.
    • Support the Senior HR Business partner regarding statutory engagements with NAPIMS on Budget Performance & governance activities.

    Employee Relations:

    • Champion entity-specific culture integration of new employees in Upstream.
    • In addition to the Group ERs efforts, create and deploy entity-specific Employee engagement activities and initiatives to motivate and build trust among staff members in our various business locations.
    • Develop and implement relevant communications strategies and activities that contribute to raising awareness of HR Initiatives, policies, and culture amongst staff members.
    • Create and deploy strategy and solutions that support organizational transformation in achieving and sustaining high engagement and performance levels of the staff.

    Requirements

    • A Degree in Social Science discipline or any other relevant field
    • Minimum of 4 years work experience with relevance to human resource generalist role
    • Good communication skills
    • Good Interpersonal skills
    • Should be detail-oriented with good analytical skills
    • Time management and strong planning skills
    • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team and build effective working relationships with internal and external clients.

    Treasury Officer (Upstream Oil and Gas)

    Description 

    • The Treasury Officer will support the corporate strategy of the business with the view to ensure its consistent and continued custody and management of all company funds through complete documentation of all bank and cash transactions and maintaining up-to-date records of the company’s receivables and financial transactions.
    • Analysing account balances for validity and ultimately feeding the users with accurate financial information

    Treasury Duties:

    • Timely posting of receivables into the upstream companies' financial system.
    • Timely collection and receipt of all crude proceeds and cash calls
    • Enforces policies, procedures and internal controls related to receivables management.

    Accountabilities
    Treasury:

    • Makes all payments- writes and issues cheques, prepares telegraphic transfer instructions (Naira and Foreign currency)
    • Monitors and processes banking transactions in collaboration with the Management and Project Accountant
    • Liaison with various banks where company accounts are maintained.
    • Enforces policies, procedures and internal controls related to bank and cash operations.
    • Prepares and submits a weekly cash report for all bank accounts.
    • Assists with cash flow planning so that all debt payments and other obligations are paid timely and ensure accurate and timely transfer of funds to meet foreign payment obligations.
    • Handling of Treasury-related queries.
    • Ensure timely disbursements and retirements of staff advance.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or a relevant field.
    • Must have commenced ICAN examination with Skills level passed at a minimum.
    • At least 3-5 years post-NYSC work experience in a similar role.
    • Must possess a very sound knowledge of basic accounting.
    • Must be able to do simple analysis and interpretation of financial transactions.
    • Ability to maintain strong relationships with external parties and internal colleagues.
    • Knowledgeable in IFRS.
