    Finance Manager, Inventory

    Summary

    • The Finance Manager, Inventory  will be responsible for overseeing all inventory-related financial transactions, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of inventory records, and maintaining strong internal controls.
    • This role plays a critical part in aligning inventory valuation with corporate standards and supporting smooth financial closing activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Organize and coordinate periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts in accordance with DCT's inventory management policies.
    • Identify and report inventory variances and ensure timely resolution.
    • Perform inventory valuation after each physical count and determine obsolete or slow-moving items for write-off or disposal.
    • Conduct periodic revaluation of inventory based on new approved standard rates.
    • Maintain and monitor the accuracy of inventory accounts in the general ledger.
    • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely reconciliation of inventory to general ledger.
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements related to inventory management.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and cost efficiency.

    Education & Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
    • Professional accounting certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in inventory management or related finance roles.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong understanding of the logistics industry, including trends and regulatory requirements.
    • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS reporting standards.
    • Hands-on experience with ERP/inventory management systems, especially SAP.
    • Strong data gathering, analysis, and reporting skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Head of Stores

    Summary

    • The Head of Stores is responsible for the effective management of all warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock control, timely issuance of materials, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.
    • The role ensures availability of materials to support operations while minimizing stock variances and optimizing inventory levels.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store/warehouse including receipts, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the ERP/store management system.
    • Liaising with finance department for periodic physical verification for stock taking, reconciliation and documentation
    • Ensure proper storage conditions, labelling, and arrangement of materials for easy identification and safety.
    • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to reduce stock loss, damage, and expiries.
    • Monitor reorder levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment of inventory.
    • Manage and supervise store officers, storekeepers, and warehouse assistants.
    • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, security protocols, and company policies.
    • Coordinate logistics activities including receiving, inspection, and dispatch of goods.
    • Ensure proper documentation for inward and outward stock transactions (GRN, Issue Vouchers, Return Notes, etc.).
    • Track and report ageing/slow-moving stock and recommend disposal or corrective actions.
    • Support internal and external audits and provide necessary documentation.
    • Continuously improve warehouse layouts, processes, and systems to enhance efficiency.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
    • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in warehouse/store operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, etc.).
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and numeracy skills.
    • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
    • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of industry-specific materials (if applicable).

    Instrumentation Engineer

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Calibration of cement plant Instruments, equipment and systems using latest technology.
    • Knowledge of PLC/SCADA/ SAP/ RCA. 
    • Trouble shooting and guiding on Instrumentation problems, quick response to breakdown.
    • Ensure completion of Instrumentation maintenance jobs with highest level of quality standards in the assigned area.
    • Effectiveness at minimum cost to maximize equipment availability.
    • Lead the sustainability of team member’s compliance to ISO/ IMS (Quality, Environment & OHS) standards and to statutory requirement.
    • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance practices and contribute to their improvement.
    • Manage and motivate the technician team, ensuring co-ordination with other departments.
    • Manage the technician team, define the jobs and objectives, carry out their performance reviews, promote the quality of the work, motivate personnel, and facilitate communication and relationships (regular department meetings, reports to the hierarchy etc).
    • Ensure on-the-job training of team members, helping the development and implementation of training plans. 
    • Review section needs, plan and maintain the spares to avoid equipment stoppage / breakdown.
    • Control of inventory/ spares consumption monitoring.
    • Ensure strict compliance to company rules.
    • Adhere to the jobs assigned by line managers
    • Ensure implementation of various modifications / Development / project for smooth running / betterment of the plant.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation, instrumentation, and control systems within the manufacturing industry.
    • Proficient in PLC programming and SCADA systems.
    • Strong understanding of process control principles and instrumentation.
    • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial automation equipment.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations pertaining to automation systems.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
