Requirements

• Preferred Candidate should have a minimum of 3.5 out of 5 in CGPA, be an Engineering student in a University or Polytechnic requiring SIWES placement position.

Purpose

• Performs magnetic particle inspection on pipe ends (SEA), identifying and marking rejected parts, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.

Responsabilities

• Commit with health, safety and environmental policies and notify situations that present potential risk.
• Ensure product quality complying with defined standards and reporting deviations.
• Carry out duties in an effective manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards in accordance with minimum costs.
• Perform activities according to applicable procedures.
• Complete and update all applicable records ensuring information accuracy.
• Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning.
• Attend and collaborate in training activities in order to maintain and increase the company knowledge.
• Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain a clean and ordered workplace.
• Abide by Tenaris discipline norms.
• Perform activities understanding their consequences on the global process. 

Main Activities:

• Ensures instruments are in good condition checking their expiration date and correct functioning.
• Executes magnetism set up.
• Performs magnetic field verification.
• Verifies the concentration of fluids.
• Performs UM white Tight verification.
• Carries out the identification and marking of rejected parts for subsequent cutting.
• Performs quality reports of pipes notifying the defects found.
• Carries out pipes repairs and reinspections.
• Updates information in the tracking systems and records the obtained 

Minimum Qualifications for the Job

• High School Degree 
• Valid ISO 9712 certification
• Past experience in NDT activities
