The Opportunity

• The Go-to-Market Strategy Intern will support the development and execution of market-entry, customer-acquisition and commercial-growth strategies for selected NCDF Group companies, products, programmes and investment platforms.
• This internship is suitable for an ambitious individual interested in strategy, market research, business development, product positioning, digital marketing and commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the team to:

• Conduct market, industry, customer and competitor research.
• Define target-market segments, customer profiles and priority audiences.
• Develop customer personas, value propositions and market-positioning statements.
• Support the design of go-to-market strategies for new products, services and platforms.
• Identify suitable customer-acquisition channels, strategic partners and distribution opportunities.
• Assist in developing launch plans, campaign messages, sales materials and commercial presentations.
• Analyse customer needs, market feedback and campaign performance.
• Support lead-generation, customer-engagement and partnership-development activities.
• Work with commercial, marketing, product, technology and investment teams to coordinate execution.
• Prepare market-intelligence reports, go-to-market playbooks and management recommendations.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Graduates or early-career professionals in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Communications or a related discipline.
• Commercially curious, analytical and able to translate research into practical recommendations.
• Strong in written communication, presentation development and structured problem-solving.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and digital research tools.
• Able to manage assignments independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Interested in African markets, enterprise development, financial services, technology, investment or economic development.
