    Data Analyst

    Job Description:

    • Nigerian British University (NBU) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support our Data Management Specialist Team. The ideal candidate will assist in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive informed decision-making across academic and administrative units.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the Data Management team in executing data-related tasks and projects.
    • Clean, structure, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights.
    • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support academic and operational goals.
    • Identify data patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
    • Collaborate with departments to understand their data needs and deliver actionable outputs.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality at all times.

    Requirements:

    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, charts).
    • Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
    • Proficiency in either R or Python for data analysis and automation.
    • Excellent pattern recognition skills and a strong sense of intuition in working with data.
    • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a problem-solving mindset.
    • Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO SCHOOL LOCATION

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Experience in higher education or institutional research is an added advantage.

    Full MERN Developer

    Job Description:

    • We are looking for a skilled and experienced Full MERN Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). The ideal candidate is passionate about clean code, scalable architecture, and user-focused design.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop modern, responsive front-end interfaces using React.js.
    • Build robust backend services and REST APIs with Node.js and Express.js.
    • Design and manage database schemas using MongoDB Postgres.
    • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
    • Integrate third-party APIs and services.
    • Write clean, maintainable code and perform code reviews.
