    Accounting Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations both at the head office and construction project site. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in construction accounting, taxation, audit, and financial planning, with the ability to manage both office-based and site-level financial activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the office and project sites.
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Manage project cost accounting, budgets, cash flow, and financial forecasts.
    • Ensure accurate recording and control of site expenses, payroll, and subcontractor payments.
    • Oversee tax compliance including VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, and statutory filings.
    • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
    • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Support financial planning, budgeting, and management reporting for projects.
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies, tax authorities, auditors, and financial institutions.
    • Supervise and mentor accounting and finance team members.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is required.
    • Strong knowledge of construction accounting, project costing, and financial controls.
    • In-depth understanding of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
    • Proven experience in audit management and financial planning.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work across office and site environments.
