    Cook

    Position Overview:

    • We are hiring a seasoned and qualified cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for students and staff in line with the College’s catering standards, hygiene requirements, and dietary needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and cook meals according to the school menu, ensuring variety, taste, and nutritional balance.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
    • Monitor food stock levels, report shortages, and assist in ordering supplies.
    • Ensure proper storage and handling of food items to prevent spoilage and contamination.
    • Accommodate special dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, religious restrictions, vegetarian options).
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff where necessary.
    • Ensure meals are served on time and in the correct portions.
    • Work with the Kitchen Supervisor to develop menus that reflect local and international dishes.
    • Uphold the College’s standards of discipline, professionalism, and safety.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Minimum of SSCE/OND; Culinary certification or catering diploma preferred.
    • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in schools, hotels, or catering services.
    • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and nutrition.
    • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.

    Kitchen Staff

    • We are hiring kitchen staff to support our cook in preparing and serving meals while maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organization in the school kitchen.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the cook in meal preparation (washing, chopping, portioning ingredients, etc.).
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
    • Serve meals to students and staff efficiently and courteously.
    • Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness in the dining and kitchen areas.
    • Handle food and supplies properly, ensuring freshness and hygiene.
    • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing kitchen deliveries.
    • Report any maintenance or safety issues in the kitchen.
    • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations strictly.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
    • Experience in food service or hospitality is an advantage.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
    • Good physical stamina for standing and performing manual tasks.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
