    Control Field Specialist - Industrial & Energy Technology (IET)

    • You will be responsible for technical direction and safe site leadership of onsite installation, operational maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning & startup activities on Turbo Machinery and Process Equipment and systems in accordance with engineering best practice and contractual work scope requirements.

    As a Control Field Specialist in the IET business, you will be responsible for:

    • Carrying out Control panel commissioning, logic modifications, loop & functional checks, panel certification and upgrades.
    • Providing Technical clarification and supervision to the client on BH rotating equipment (HDGT, Aero GT and Compressors).
    • Supervision of all troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup activities of BH products (HDGT, Aero GT and Compressors) as related to Control engineering during outages.
    • Direct interfacing with BH Engineering on all matters relating to equipment reliability, operations, maintenance, and failure analysis.
    • Providing direction and assistance to work groups to meet assigned objectives
    • Coordinating and overseeing work at the field site, providing quality service to the customer.
    • Collaborating with others crew members to the Installation and/or Maintenance activities of Customer Equipment in the Field at Customer Sites.
    • Executing all required responsibilities safely and as instructed by direct supervisors and following all IET Service applicable processes and procedures.
    • Providing all required records of all activities accomplished at Customer Site to the Baker Hughes IET Supervisor and promotes and maintains good team relations.
    • Making recommendations on findings, reviewing effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify future needs
    • Overseeing, overhaul, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up of rotating equipment (Baker Hughes portfolio products) at customer sites
    • Coordinating the cleanup, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.
    • Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality and Compliance).

    To be successful in this role you must:

    • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred.
    • Have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Turbomachinery Controls system and field instrumentation.
    • Be capable to demonstrate strong working experience on at least two of the following GE/BH control systems - MKV, MKVI, MKVIe, Rx3i, GE Fanuc.
    • Be capable to demonstrate experience in commissioning & startup of a GE or BH Turbomachinery equipment with Speedtronics MKV, MKVI, MKVIe, RX3i, or GE Fanuc control system
    • Be capable of working independently as a Control specialist and field Instrumentation specialist.
    • Have experience working on Turbomachinery equipment – Heavy Duty Gas Turbine, Aeroderivative Gas Turbines, Centrifugal compressors, etc.
    • Be willing to travel for work up to 70% of the time.
    • Have good Functional / Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team working skills.

    • Be capable to demonstrate experience in commissioning & startup of a GE or BH Turbomachinery equipment with MKVIe, RX3i, or GE Fanuc control system
    • Be capable of working independently as a Control specialist and field Instrumentation specialist.

    Quality Control Inspector - Subsea Projects & Services

    • The Quality Control Inspector performs quality inspection activities related to the manufacture, service, repair and refurbishment of Subsea Equipment, to verify and assure compliance with Baker Hughes specifications and requirements.
    • Reporting to the Site Quality Lead, the QC Inspector is responsible for receipt inspection, in-process inspection and final release inspection activities and for creating and maintaining records of such activities in accordance with documented requirements.
    • The QC Inspector performs witness and verification of equipment undergoing acceptance testing and reviews the results of such tests for compliance with requirements.
    • The QC Inspector records and reports non-conforming product identified in the course of inspection activities and quarantines such items for authorized disposition.

    As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for:

    • Maintaining product standards through the application of rigorous inspection techniques.
    • Inspecting new manufacture supplier provided parts, supplier repaired / refurbished parts and intra-company supplied parts, including supporting documentation to verify compliance with specified technical requirements referenced within relevant drawings, specifications and standards.
    • Inspecting components, sub-assemblies, assemblies and associated documentation to confirm compliance with Baker Hughes specifications and standards.
    • Performing inspection activities at supplier premises, or other off-site locations, when required
    • Creating and maintaining accurate records of inspection activities.
    • Using, controlling and caring for inspection metrology equipment and ensuring the valid calibration status of such items.
    • Systematic follow-up of Assembly and Refurbishment activities utilizing ITPs and other documentation for proper control.
    • Identifying, controlling and reporting, via the Non Conformance Management (NCM), non-conforming product.
    • Identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities
    • Participating in root cause analysis, non-conformance analysis, customer issue resolution analysis and other continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing cost of quality, improving on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Adherence to and compliance with company and regulatory Quality management system requirements at all times.
    • Adherence to and compliance with company and regulatory HSE requirements & expectations always
    • Carry out any other assigned jobs as required.

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Have at least Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
    • Have 3 years minimum experience in a similar quality role and experience in the Oil and Gas industry
    • Have detailed knowledge of inspection and metrology techniques and processes
    • Have an engineering background, such as time-served mechanical or electrical technician 
    • Have a thorough understanding of manufacturing drawings, geometric and dimensional tolerances and specifications.
    • Knowledge of and familiarity with relevant company and industry standards
    • Detailed knowledge of requirements associated with the control of monitoring and measuring devices.
    • Able to generate concise and detailed reports of inspection findings
    • Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office applications
    • Experienced and familiar with the requirements of formal Quality Management Systems and standards, such as ISO 9001:2015, API Q1 and API Q2
    • Familiar with industry standards such as API, ISO etc.
    • Good communication skills
    • Flexible attitude to working patterns
    • Willingness and ability to travel.
