    Charge Back / Dispute Resolution & Reconciliation Officer

    Job Description

    • We are looking for an experienced Dispute Resolution & Reconciliation Officer who is passionate about the growth and our mission of simplifying payments in Africa.
    • The ideal candidate will resolve all issues arising from electronic transactions and perform automated back-office processing such as dispute processing, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting from all our channels.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Daily reconciliation of accounts for exceptions and subsequent escalation of exceptions to the switch and other vendors or third parties for resolution.
    • Coordinate with team members to solve any issues the chargeback and settlement unit faces.
    • Ensure daily processing of outgoing dispute actions and the on-time response of incoming disputes.
    • Coordinate with banks to solve pending issues and reply to their inquiries.
    • Attend to all queries from customers and merchants on dispute issues and ensure they are resolved promptly
    • Ensure all claims logged on dispute resolution systems are promptly attended to, to guide against financial loss.
    • Maintain customer service standards to retain the customer base by ensuring the service provided is appropriate and taking prompt action to rectify problems/queries
    • Develop and maintain business relations with the Reconciliation & Chargeback team at NIBBS and other key service providers at different levels – PTSP, PSSP, Switches etc.

    Education Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies

    • A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent.
    • Digital Financial Services or banking industry experience.
    • Experience with electronic payment systems.
    • In-depth knowledge of payment processing gateways.
    • Organization and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Channel Manager

    Job Description

    • Develop and manage the strategic roadmap for each assigned digital channel.
    • Work closely with Tech, Growth, Operations and Settlement teams to fully understand payment channel requirements.
    • Create and manage campaigns and promotions to drive the adoption and growth of the access channels.
    • Present results and data analytics for assigned channels including analysis, performance, profitability and compliance.
    • Develop and adjust business development plans of channels based on different sets of strategic priorities.
    • Ensure assigned channels have a stable connection with our system and provide quick responses to any channel-related issues.
    • Work closely with operation teams to suggest and recommend new initiatives that could improve customers' experience with the usage of our platform via all channels.
    • Prepare competitor’s product comparative analysis, identifying areas for improvement of our company’s product and channel capabilities.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies

    • Degree in Banking and Finance, Sales and Marketing or other relevant academic backgrounds.
    • Not less than three (3) years of proven experience in related positions at payment companies, banks, and/or partnership managers ideally focused on the payment segment working with key stakeholders.
    • Comprehensive understanding of e-wallet and payment business, great understanding of agency banking and merchant scenarios.
    • Extremely flexible, result oriented, and hardworking with a strong track record of success.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet and exceed channel targets.
    • Able to analyze data and channel statistics and translate results into numbers and solutions.

    Merchant Acquisition Specialist

    About the Job

    • Merchant Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for driving the adoption of the company’s products to offline businesses such as Chain Stores, restaurants, Supermarkets, FMCG, pharmacies, Betting, etc. and developing strategies to increase sales revenue and meet retention targets.
    • The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers and will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote the organization’s solution and achieve mutual satisfaction.

    Job Description

    • Explore and onboard merchants within assigned territory.
    • Deploy POS, mobile and desktop apps and train merchants to effectively use them and also manage the relationship
    • Communicate important company updates to the merchant under their supervision and ensure that the information is understood.
    • Resolve transaction and application-related issues for merchants.
    • Escalate transaction issues where necessary to your superior.
    • Ensure that merchants are empowered to meet targets.
    • Research new market areas and distribute branding materials to merchants
    • Work closely with the team in visiting, interacting and focusing on clients’ needs, proffering solutions and where peculiar challenges are recorded, feedback are collected and properly reported to the line manager in a timely manner.
    • Work closely with the line manager to suggest and recommend new initiatives that could improve merchant experience with the usage of our hardware and software access channels.
    • Ensure active and inactive business partners are routinely visited.
    • Ensure at least 80% retention rate at any given time.

    Education Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Competencies

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or other related disciplines.
    • Experience in Sales and marketing or related fields with 1-3 years of experience as a Merchant Acquisition Executive in Fintech, Agency Banking Firm, or Direct Sales Executive in a Commercial Bank.
    • Comprehensive understanding of POS business, great understanding of agency banking and merchant scenarios.
    • Proven experience in Customer Service is a plus.
