As a Business Analyst, you will be the bridge between business needs and technological solutions.
You will be responsible for understanding business requirements, analyzing processes, and translating these into clear, concise specifications for development teams.
Your role is crucial in ensuring that the solutions delivered align with the strategic goals of Baobab Microfinance Bank Nigeria and meet the needs of its stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders using various techniques such as interviews, workshops, and surveys.
Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and use cases for development teams.
Conduct detailed analysis of existing business processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, quality assurance teams, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation, including process flows, data models, and system diagrams.
Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders.
Support the testing phase by reviewing test cases and helping to validate that solutions meet the defined requirements.
Assist in the implementation and deployment of new systems and processes, including user training and support.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in business analysis
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with software development teams using Agile Methodology.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services or microfinance sector.
Proficient in technical drawing, architecture drawing and process flow diagrams using tools like Draw.io, Lucid Chart, Miro, etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and processes.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SWOT analysis, gap analysis, process modeling).
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
