    Auto Electrician

    Job Summary

    In charge of supporting the repair and maintenance of electrical components for heavy equipment in accordance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) guidelines, while ensuring safety is maintained at all times.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • To carry out daily/periodical/planned/preventive maintenance/major repairs/overhauls/running and breakdown maintenance with respect to auto –electrical systems such as kick starter, alternator, battery, electronics and instrumentation of heavy-duty machineries in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines/recommendations/ safe operating procedures to ensure optimum utilization and availability.
    • To maintain the auto-electrician daily check sheet report, spare parts consumption reports accordingly to supervisors as per job requirements
    • To diagnose the problems on auto-electrical, electronics and instrumentation systems and rectify same.
    • To use all the PPE as recommended by the safety policy of the company and report to the authorities concerned regarding the accidents/near miss/incident.
    • Proper handling of tools provided them and to ensure their proper usage.
    • To suggest and implement the recent/latest maintenance practice.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 8 years automotive repair experience; with proven experience as an auto electrician working on cranes.
    • Minimum of SSCE/NABTEB & Trade test (3,2 and 1). OND in Auto Electrical Engineering would be an added advantage.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Excellent knowledge of electrical components of heavy-duty equipment and trucks.
    • Ability to pay keen attention to details.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Deputy General Manager, Packing plant

    Join Dangote Cement Plc as the Deputy General Manager of the Packing Plant, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and performance of the cement packing process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to packing operations, including optimizing processes to enhance production capacity and quality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and supervise the operations of the packing plant to ensure maximum productivity and adherence to quality standards.

    • Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Packing Plant.

    Educational Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 20 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within a packing plant environment, preferably in the cement industry.

    Risk Analyst

    Job Summary

    Responsible for Risk Management activities for a subsidiary of the Group – mainly monitoring risk(s) relating to Credit, Operational and other Risks. Support the Identification, assessment, mitigation and management of risks for the company through focusing on risk management via a defined enterprise wide risk framework thereby ensuring the risks are mitigated and monitored in accordance with the company's Risk Policies.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    OPERATIONAL RISK ACTIVITIES

    • Work closely with the Group Operational Risk team in ensuring that losses arising from failed or inadequate internal processes, systems, people and external events fall within the Group's risk appetite, and is in alignment with the organization’s corporate strategy
    • Provide support to departments within the business unit in the identification of operational risk issues, and designing controls to mitigate risks identified
    • Ensure the proper implementation of the operational risk management framework, policies and procedures of the organization within the Business Unit
    • Ensure prompt completion and rendition of annually Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSAs), and monthly Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
    • Develop KRIs required to track newly identified or emerging risk exposures
    • Assist departments with the identification of key risk(s) on an ongoing basis
    • Identify and report operational risk events using the Loss Incident Reporting tool and collate risk events reported for rendition to Head Office
    • Perform root cause analyses on identified risk events and recommend controls to be implemented to prevent these risk events from re-occurring in future or to minimize the impact of the risk should the event be a critical business proces
    • Monitor the implementation of actions plans to address key risks identified from RCSAs, KRIs
    • and reported loss incidents
    • Monitor the Business Unit's risk exposure closely to ensure operational efficiency, expected
    • sales and proper redress of limiting factors
    • Report all threats to Business Continuity and ensure that contingency plans are developed to
    • address key business continuity risks identified
    • Monitor and ensure timely close-out of recommended controls for mitigating identified risks
    • Attend Management Committee meetings and present or discuss key risks identified that require immediate redress or awareness of Senior Management
    • Effectively create a risk-aware culture in the assigned Business Unit through effective awareness programs or activities

    CREDIT RISK MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist the Head of Risk at the BU in embedding a best-in-class credit risk management culture within DIL, while enhancing the control environment for Sales Operations across the Group.
    • Provide first-level SAP support to Credit Risk Team members and Sales Teams in business unit, thereby enhancing the Group’s revenue profile.
    • Advise management on identifying, measuring, and appropriately addressing credit and sales operations risks
    • Assists with ensuring the proper implementation of the Group’s credit risk management framework, policies and procedures in addition to ensuring implementation of sales policies and procedures on SAP
    • Monitor the Business Unit’s credit risk and sales operations exposure closely to ensure operational efficiency, expected sales and proper redress of limiting factors .
    • Assist to mitigate all threats identified during SAP review of the end-to-end sales process and ensure that contingency plans are developed to address and close-out the key controls with the SAP
    • Support Teams of the various business Units within the Group.
    • Improve TAT on credit sales.
    • Liaise with the SAP Support Team towards improving the TAT for the sales processes and procedures.
    • Provide regular (daily exception) sales revenue reports and analysis to identify exceptions and policy breaches on SAP.

    OTHER RISK FUNCTIONS

    • Strategic Risk monitoring on issues such as risks emanating from corporate governance issues, strategy formulation and implementation, Pricing pressure and competition issues, Mergers and Acquisitions, Sales & Marketing issues and likely exposures from Systemic risks from macro-economic trends that might impact business
    • Reputational Risk monitoring of business activities that may result in brand erosion or depletion of brand equity
    • Monitoring of other prevalent or emerging business risk exposure
    • Ensure compliance with all ERM Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
    • Support Heads of Risk, customize ERM Polices and SOPs to align with country or regional business dynamics and regulatory landscape
    • Prepare periodic reports in accordance with applicable policies such as Daily Sales & Collection Report, Monthly Credit Reports, Risk Reports to EXCO and the Board and such other reports that may be required from time to time. Reports must meet expected standard in terms of quality and integrity
    • Render weekly Loss Incident Report to Group Operational Risk Team

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • HND/Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related Course, Economics, Accounting or Engineering; Masters’ degree in a relevant field of study or relevant professional qualification would be an advantage
    • 5 years or more relevant experience in manufacturing or financial services
    • Good interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
