    Audit Team Leader

    About the Job

    • Lead a team of experienced professional Auditors in conducting audit assignments across Nigeria and presentation of audit observations and reports to management.
    • Manage the audit process on a day-to-day basis for assigned locations and allocate the workload to team members based on the risk rating and experience of the auditor.
    • Conduct financial and operational reviews, prepare observations & reports, & propose recommendations, and agree management actions for all observations.
    • Supervise and coach junior auditors during audit assignments and help ensure the smooth operation of the audit process.

    Your New Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and implement audit assignments and provide an objective view on the control environment.
    • Ensure adequate follow up with head office function heads. after audit assignments on identified head office related issues.
    • Ensure that all audit workpapers are completed and uploaded on share point. Draft the final report after every plant and process audit.
    • Effective management of the departmental budget. optimization of time, project/traveling costs during specific project.
    • Plan, coordinate, execute and prepare report for each assignment.
    • Increase efficiency and quality of departmental deliverables: quality of audit reports, time allocation, follow up processes. etc.
    • Contributes new ideas, and intelligently partake in team discussions and active participation in the audit meeting.
    • Timely Reporting of findings from audit projects.
    • Deliver high quality audit reports.
    • Effective communication of audit findings Set a clear plan of action for the team to follow and consistently ensure the timely completion of allocated work cycles to ensure the attainment of team objectives.
    • Ensure adequate arrangements are made for auditors' welfare during audit engagements.
    • Review of Audit Seniors and Auditors' quarterly presentations.
    • Provide support to the audit team during assignments.
    • Training and conduct induction of new employees.
    • Review the audit rules and the process with your team to make sure everyone knows how he/she should operate.

    Education / Knowledge

    • Minimum - HND / University Degree Level education in Finance / Business Administration.
    • Should possess a relevant professional qualification (e.g.. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA etc.).
    • 5 - 6 years working experience Industry/business knowledge.
    • Ability to read and interpret financial and business data.
    • Understand tactical requirements, full knowledge of functional strategy

    Nigeria Audit Manager

    About Your New Job

    • To provide risk-based and objective assurance advice, and insight to the Group Audit & Risk Committee, NBC Board, Executive Leadership Team, and NBC Senior management as to whether the framework of risk management, including its Internal Control Framework, is operating effectively in every function of NBC.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design the annual audit plan to meet the risks of NBC and agree with the Head of Corporate Audit.
    • Plan and conduct audits to assess controls, operational efficiencies & compliance with selected policies, procedures & regulations in accordance with the annual audit plan.
    • Ensure that the audit activity is of high quality and in conformance with the IIA Standards and the CAD Operating Handbook.
    • Align the audit objectives to the annual audit plan.
    • Resolve audit problems that occur & provide recommendations for corrective actions.
    • Plan, coordinate, execute and report on time for each assignment.
    • Internal audit function strategy for Nigeria executed, implemented, and delivered as agreed with Head of Corporate Audit.
    • Ensure that the audit activity is performed in a manner to achieve the audit engagement objectives.
    • Liaise with the other Area Audit Managers to deliver a harmonized audit approach across all areas.
    • Prepare, submit & manage the department budget, approval of expenses incurred by the team.
    • Provide support and guidance to the Team with clarity on deliverables and expectations.
    • Lead the delivery of high-quality financial and operational audits across NBC.
    • Prepare and communicate the basis, related risk assessment and timing of the audits/ projects to Senior Management.
    • Ensure knowledge sharing for the development of the team skillset and transfer of best practices.
    • Ensure that preliminary observations are written, propose recommendations and agree / align with management actions for all issues raised.
    • Contributes new ideas, and intelligently partake in team discussions and active participation in the audit meeting.

    Education / Experience

    • Minimum of HND / University Degree Level education in Accounting, or Finance related subject
    • 10 years of experience in an audit leadership position, demonstrating high proficiency in financial and comprehensive auditing, risk management and people management.
    • Accounting /auditing related professional qualifications such as at a minimum ICAN, ACA, АССА.
    • Additional, CIA, CFE, CISA or equivalent qualifications desirable.
    • Sound Accounting and Business Knowledge
    • Understand tactical requirements, full knowledge of functional strategy
    • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Industry / business knowledge

    Qualification & Requirements

    • 7+ years of related CPG experience working on a business that is global with direct responsibility on a global project. Can demonstrates an understanding of differences between countries and cultures. 
    • Demonstrate the ability to translating marketing objectives into strategies and plans.
    • Proven success in leading a team to develop a comprehensive marketing plan that is integrated across multiple consumer touch points, including at point-of-purchase. 
    • Knowledge of information used to define brand strategic corridors and develop appropriate business solutions and the ability to lead the development, communication and stewardship of global brand positioning, architectures and policies/guidelines are needed  
    • Knowledge of and the ability to use basic financial analysis (e.g., Return on Investment, Value Chain Analysis) related to marketing effectiveness, resource allocations and new business opportunities is needed 
    • Successfully launched several new products from concept stage through commercialization and in-market success. Has successfully managed a product portfolio. 
    • Persuasive communication skills and ability to develop materials for corporate strategy and business review meetings.  
    • Proven ability to manage and develop a marketing team.
