    Planning and Control Engineer

    Job Summary

    The Planning & Controls Engineer is responsible for managing the controls requirement at various stages of a project. He is to facilitate efforts in ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time and within budget by utilizing analytical performance evaluation techniques, coordinating communication between all parties involved, monitoring progress, and thereby resolving any issues that may arise. • He is to develop strategies, determine material and labor costs, monitor crew performance, ensure health and safety regulations are obeyed, and that communications channels are open; thereby ensuring the implementation of project planning, scheduling, change management, budget & cost control, reporting and forecasting activities, as required

    Planning / Scheduling & Performance Measurement

    • Developing and maintaining resources & cost loaded project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and critical paths.
    • Develop and execute measurement systems to process, analyze and identify improvements.
    • Develop, monitoring & continuous evaluation of project WBS, S-curves, histograms, budget etc.
    • Identifying schedule risks and implementing mitigation strategies to prevent delays.
    • Planning cost and schedule (work breakdown structure) metrics and tools.
    • Handle resource planning, milestone coordination and schedule tasks.
    • Execute schedule change management process to approve changes.

    Project Controls, Reporting, Risk & Change Management

    • Monitor and report on project progress, generate project progress charts and evaluation reports.
    • Monitoring project performance and ensuring that all tasks are completedaccording to scheduleand within budget constraints.
    • Conducting regular meetings with all stakeholders to update them on project status and issues that may impact the project’s outcome.
    • Performance monitoring of construction projects from initial planning through completion of construction.
    • Coordinating and communicating project information to all stakeholders, including project team members, management, and clients
    • Contribute to the development of the department’s procedures with continuous review and improvement as needed in response to changes in project scope, schedule, or budget.
    • Support cost control as per contractual procedures, objectives, and requirements.
    • Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on project controls matters.
    • Presenting project controls strategies, status updates, and recommendations to Project leadership.
    • Identifying and tracking changes or potential changes to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are communicated effectively.
    • Implementing change control processes and ensuring proper documentation of changes and their impacts.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining tools and processes for efficient and effective project control, including earned value management systems.
    • Assist in setting up project controls systems, workflows, communications, reporting and reporting tools, administration.
    • Review & monitoring of contractor & sub-contractor programmes in accordance with contract objectives.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field
    • A minimum of 6 years direct project planning & controls experience.
    • Proficient user of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
    • Expert user of Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other project management software
    • Thorough understanding of the project lifecycle and control processes, PMP Certified

    Snr Field Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Technician

    Job Summary

    The Senior Field E&I & Control Technician will be Subject Matter Expert/Technical Authority on all aspects of the E&I engineering review, installation, testing and commissioning activities and processes. He will also be the accountable and responsible person for all site activities relating to E&I engineering, procurement/manufacturing engineering & expediting, testing & quality assurance, installation, commissioning and constructability. He shall lead and or render construction support to the construction team while at the same time collaborating with the design team on E&Irelated issues and activities. The suitable candidate is expected to have a very good knowledge of both field/site and design experience but with field bias.

    Job Details

    • Maintain regular and continuous interface and working collaboration with the operations and installation subcontractor on all E&I issues/concerns/inputs towards the smooth completion of the E&I installation & construction scope of the project.
    • Review all key E&I deliverables from Engineering for the project before they are issued to the client.
    • Participate in regular project technical meetings with (1) Engineering and (2) client/client rep. on project technical issues.
    • Build, maintain and manage all client/client rep. interfaces on E&I issues and scope for the project. Also act as the interface person between the client E&I Engineer and the engineering design subcontractor.
    • Pay regular and frequent site visits to the different project sites to resolve, support and monitor E&I construction and installation activities. (If subcontracted)
    • Support the procurement department and the procurement process for all E&I and control packages and units with all required and relevant technical assistance to actively sustain the procurement process for E&I materials for the project. This will also require functioning partly as a Package Technical Expediter for different category of packages, units, items and materials.
    • Supervise the activities of vendors and subcontractors working on E&I fabrication and installation works for the project.
    • Conduct Vendor/Suppliers/OEM document review and internal approval on all E&I materials.
    • Act as the Subject Matter Expert/Technical Authority on all E&I activities, processes, concerns, expertise, assistance etc for the Oilserv Group.
    •  Represent Oilserv in any other technical and business capacity as may arise in the project.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of B. TECH in Electrical or Electrical/Electronics. 
    • Trade Test on Electrical (Industrial & Domestic) grades 2 & 3 is also an added advantage
