    ATC Issuance Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a competent ATC Issuance Officer who will provide support for the logistics function by managing dispatch activities to ensure all inbound and outbound trucks weight are accurately captured and documented, with a focus on time to meet up with customers' demand.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Attend to all registered customer truck drivers that are on Dangote Empowerment Scheme.
    • Track and confirm individual customer truck with new request if previous transaction closed.
    • Issue loading authority to customer driver based on request and approval only.
    • All customer requests/drivers must be adequately attended on time.
    • Monitor and confirm each outstanding depot loading authority ticket that is not available, request for replenishment receives from Sales Administrative Officers, update the same on database.
    • Prepare and send an hourly update report as per quantity, region, and cement type issued to drivers.
    • Prepare daily at the closing hour and monthly report.
    • Implement approved HSE policies and procedures.
    • Strict compliance of company policies and procedures

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Business Administration, Social Sciences or Humanities.
    • Minimum of two (2) years related job experience.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
    • Sound knowledge of DCP’s product and service offerings.
    • Working knowledge of inventory management terminologies, methodologies, and approach
    • Basic knowledge of system-based inventory management systems
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail and quality.
    • Willingness to learn, improve and adapt to changing requirements.
    • Working knowledge of relevant supporting tools and technologies such as MS Suite.

    Belt Vulcaniser

    Job Summary

    • Perform a variety of tasks of a belt vulcanizer pertaining to mechanical equipment, instruments and structures used within the plant.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Periodical Inspection of belt conveyor, belt joints and idlers and other equipment parts and immediate corrective action like repairing of weak joints.
    • Keep record of the belt joint condition and action taken. Fill required checklist for condition of belt conveyors.
    • Carry out the conveyor belt joints. Hot, cold and steel cord belts.
    • Advance knowledge about belt HOT, COLD and steel cord belt joints. Along with knowledge about conveyor belts types, construction, procedure of belt joints.
    • Carry out repairing of belt vulcanizing machines and tools. Keep all tools and machine in working condition. Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
    • Keep stock of required belt vulcanizing material and suggest procurement action.
    • Support maintenance of plant equipment as when required.
    • Work with engineers as needed in order to complete assignments; provide input as requested
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Engineers from time to time.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Trade Test I in related Trade with 10 years relevant work experience.
    • Trade Test II in related Trade with 16 years relevant work experience
    • OND Mechanical Engineering with 5 years relevant work experience

    Skills and Competencies

    • Basic knowledge of cement production process
    • In-depth knowledge of the cement packing machines/ functions and procedures
    • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with accuracy and speed
    • Problem solving skills
    • Ability to pay attention to details

    Senior Technician, Mechanical

    Job Summary

    • Perform a variety of tasks pertaining to fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair, and service of mechanical equipment, instruments and structures used within the plant.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Liaise with the Shift Technicians to identify problematic equipment/machines in the plant and effect repairs promptly.
    • Implement SOP’s for maintenance.
    • Execute corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment/ machines in a timely manner.
    • Assist to ensure safety precautions are observed and personal protection equipment are worn during repairs or scheduled maintenance.
    • Take inventory of working tools weekly to ensure that it matches the original tool list provided.
    • Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
    • Replace minor fixtures in the plant machines.
    • Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
    • Enter data into ERP system (e.g., SAP) for spares and consumables.
    • Technicians should personally clean operating equipment for effective performance
    • Technicians should maintain the tools and tackle properly
    • Ensures quality maintenance as per PM schedule
    • Reports any break down or stoppages more than 30mins to sectional engineers.
    • Carry out briefly- analysis of break down jobs
    • Ensure no break down on groups taken for maintenance until next PM schedule date.
    • Attends to any breaks down within the shortest possible time.
    • Fill the checklist against the job carried out daily and file it properly
    • Ensure to remove all scrap after maintenance
    • Identify potential environmental and OHS hazards

    Requirements

    • Trade Test I in Mechanical related Trade with 16 years relevant work experience.
    • Trade Test II in Mechanical related Trade with 24 years relevant work experience
    • OND Mechanical Engineering with 5 years relevant work experience

    Senior Technician, Instrumentation

    Job Summary

    • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, installation, calibration, adjustment and integration of various types of plant instrumentation equipment.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Perform all work order maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of plant equipment as directed.
    • Troubleshoot, inspect, test, maintain, repair, clean and calibrate instrumentation and solid state and microprocessor based control equipment including plant communications equipment, programmable controllers, distributive control systems, generator excitation equipment, battery chargers, and semi-conductor devices.
    • Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, transmitters, etc. as needed.
    • Install control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment.
    • Use a wide range of test equipment, including recorders, computers, control and tuning modules, PC based software analyzer programs, oscilloscopes, data analyzers, logic test equipment, analogue and digital multi-meters, meggars and other test equipment, while performing tests to identify problems and to maintain and calibrate equipment to performance standards.
    • Make regular inspection rounds of plant instrumentation, and control equipment.
    • Assist in developing detailed preventive and predictive maintenance procedures for plant instrumentation and control equipment.
    • Install, build, or modify plant instrument, and control equipment as directed by the Instrumentation Engineer or Section Head.

    Requirements

    • Trade Test I in Electrical related Trade with 16 years relevant work experience.
    • Trade Test II in Electrical related Trade with 24 years relevant work experience
    • OND Electrical Engineering with 5 years relevant work experience

    Skills and Competencies

    • Good knowledge of phase testers, multimeters, meggers and other testing equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.

    • Proficiency in the use of office productivity tools
