    Project Officer

    Job Purpose

    • Project Officer supports project planning, implementation, and monitoring, which includes tasks like designing project activities, tracking progress against milestones, and managing budgets.
    • They often liaise with implementing partners and stakeholders, conduct field visits to monitor activities, and collect data for reporting and evaluation purposes.
    • Other duties include providing technical support and training, managing communication with stakeholders, and ensuring that projects align with the organization's goals.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support the program team to record and analyze monitoring data for reporting and timely communicate the results of analysis to inform programme decision making
    • Conduct surveys and analyze data on a quarterly basis and make recommendations to improve the project based on the findings
    • Support the Project Manager to prepare periodic project reports based on accurate and evidence-based data/information
    • Support the Monitoring and Evaluation team in the tracking of outcome of activities evidenced by accurate data to enhance quality of reporting
    • Identify and document human interest stories and case studies based on the successes of implemented projects
    • Assist program team in reviewing log frames, M&E work plans and targets at proposal development stage through the project implementation
    • Assist to identify needs and opportunities by conducting training needs assessments.
    • Collect data on project indicators and maintain an updated database on project progress
    • Assist in tracking project performance at community level and report, monitor and follow up on project activities.
    • Conduct regular visits to project sites to monitor the implementation of activities, gather feedback from beneficiaries and submit detailed report about the activities and findings

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the nonprofit sector.
    • Strong project management skills, including planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Good communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team, often requiring travel to remote areas.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Experience providing training and capacity building to staff or partners is often required.

    Human Resource / Admin Officer

    Job Purpose

    • The Human Resources and Administration Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in the day-to-day operations of both the Human Resources and Administration departments.
    • This dual role involves managing HR policies, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, as well as ensuring efficient administrative operations.
    • The HR and Admin Officer will play a key role in fostering a positive organizational culture and ensuring compliance with labour laws and organizational policies.

    Key Responsibilities
    Human Resources Responsibilities:

    • Oversee daily administrative functions, including office management and documentation.
    • Manage the recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding new employees.
    • New Employee Orientation: Conduct orientations for new employees and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
    • Support staff performance management processes, including appraisals and training.
    • Handle employee relations, addressing grievances and promoting a positive work environment.
    • Coordinate staff training and professional development initiatives.
    • Performance Management: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of performance management systems, coordinate performance appraisal processes, and provide support to managers and employees.
    • Training and Development: Identify training needs, coordinate training programs, maintain training records, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
    • Manage procurement, inventory, and maintenance of office supplies and equipment.
    • Provide administrative support to the leadership team, including scheduling and correspondence.

    Administration Responsibilities

    • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative records, ensuring proper filing and documentation of all activities.
    • Administrative Operations Oversight: Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including office supplies management and facility maintenance.
    • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate office logistics and support services, ensuring smooth operation of office activities.
    • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative records, ensuring proper filing and documentation of all activities.
    • Support to Senior Management: Provide administrative support to senior management, including coordinating meetings, events, and travel arrangements.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Education: B.Sc./HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources and administrative roles, (experience in the nonprofit sector is an advantage).

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of HR practices and labour laws.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.

    Project Assistant

    Job Purpose

    • Project Assistant provides essential administrative and logistical support.
    • The Assistant's role is pivotal in facilitating the smooth operation of the unit by assisting in the implementation of operational tools and processes and contributing to the practical aspects.

    • Aid in managing tracking tools and preparing reports, including gathering data and data entry.
    • Supports the execution of accountability measures and documenting the impact of activities within the partnership program, such as gathering necessary documentation and feedback.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, finance, international development, administration or any other relevant field.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management within the nonprofit sector.
    • Strong skills in using Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Microsoft's online tools (particularly Outlook, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint).
    • Skills in supporting monitoring and evaluation activities, including data collection and basic analysis.
    • Effective team-player and problem solver.
    • Skills in assisting with the preparation of reports, proposals, and other written materials.
    • Efficient time and priority management with attention to deadlines.
