Project Manager at BigSun Africa

Job Purpose

• We are looking for an experienced and dedicated NGO Project Manager to lead and oversee various projects within our nonprofit organization.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they align with our mission and objectives.
• This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders, manage resources, and ensure project success.
• As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing project plans, setting goals, and ensuring that all activities are completed on time and within budget.
• You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, donors, and beneficiaries to ensure that projects meet their intended impact.
• Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail will be crucial in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Include identifying project needs, securing funding, and managing budgets effectively.
• You will also be responsible for monitoring project progress, evaluating outcomes, and making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Additionally, you will be expected to prepare reports and presentations to communicate project results to stakeholders and donors.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
• Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and stakeholder engagement is highly desirable.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, nonprofit management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management within the nonprofit sector.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and budget management.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Patience and flexibility when working with people.
