PURPOSE

Responsible for supporting the financial operations at Bauchi-Fertilizer blending site through effective financial control, accurate inventory tracking, cost monitoring, and timely financial reporting. Providing financial insights and analysis to aid decision-making across production, customer service, and despatch operations.

THE JOB

• Provide financial support to site operations, including weekly checks on inventory re-order levels and timely reporting to the Head Office Finance Team.
• Monitor raw material discharge processes and raise transporter liabilities for any short deliveries.
• Perform weekly reconciliation of site cash and inventory ledger to sub-ledger; report any variances promptly.
• Prepare and submit daily site operations reports with relevant financial and operational data.
• Regularly reconcile physical inventory against D-365 system balances and provide detailed commentary on any discrepancies.
• Maintain 100% tracking and reporting of any operational or financial leakages.
• Drive cost savings initiatives aimed at achieving a minimum of 5% reduction in both direct and indirect costs on a year-on-year basis.
• Prepare and submit the site income statement by Workday 2 following monthly account closure.

THE PERSON MUST

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Be proactive and goal-oriented, with a drive for continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting or related discipline

To carry out effective operations of the process lines to achieve targeted production outputs of pasta products while guaranteeing standard quality with minimum downtimes.

THE JOB

• Carry out effective operations of the process lines in order to produce standard quality products. This involves compliance with standard SOPs on startups, operations and shutdowns of all process lines.
• Carry out effective process control by constantly monitoring process variables against set points. Maintain FIFO basis in processing raw materials received for the process lines. 
• Receive instruction from the shift supervisors in respect of production schedule and planned maintenance.
• Follow up on all outstanding process issues from previous shifts and ensure prompt resolution of same especially as regards downtimes and machine breakdown by liaising with the maintenance crew.
• Ensure that the process lines and all accessories are kept in a reasonable state of repairs and cleanliness through compliance with world class manufacturing practices.

THE PERSON MUST

• Have good verbal and written communication skills.

• Have excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Have ability to meet productivity and quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 O’ Level credits including Mathematics and English Language in not more than two sittings.

THE JOB

• Repair any fault or damage components of the machines such as production, packaging, warehouse, raw material silo, Boiler, WTP
• Minimize the downtimes.
• Carry out all kinds of maintenance strictly with the use of checklist/Machine drawing
• Monitor logbook to check job repairs done as well as pending jobs, to follow up and ensure prompt resolution
• Carry out any job allocated to ensure quick response to maintenance request from user department.
• Carryout Why-Why analysis on repeated problems and troubleshoot problems to aid effective maintenance.
• Prepare report on work done for reference purpose, fill all the job order correctly, and return them to SAM.
• Follow up on all PM targets in TPM.

THE PERSON MUST

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Possess strong supervisory and team management skills.
• Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Be safety-conscious and proactive.

QUALIFICATIONS

• OND in Engineering or any science related discipline.
• Technical certification would be an added advantage.

Plan and receive/issue packaging materials and consumables to ensure smooth production operations as well as maintain adequate record of materials consumption to meet production targets.

THE JOB

• Carry out physical verification of local supplies, ensuring proper documentation and treatment of vendors’ waybills in compliance with internal control procedures.
• Monitor diesel transfers between vendors and internal units, verifying quantity and process accuracy.
• Maintain and update store monitoring registers for supplies, returns, and scrap load outs.
• Make sure that returned items from stock counts are properly checked and promptly entered the system.
• Participate in monthly inventory counts and perform random spot checks to reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Monitor the issuance, usage, and documentation of spare parts to ensure compliance with established procedures and accuracy in record-keeping.
