    Representative - Sales and Trade Development Ikom, Sales and Distribution

    Mission

    • To manage and develop trade infrastructure and the channels of distribution especially retailers to ensure MTN dominance at retail in the assigned territory.

    Description

    • Provide informal training in shops on products, services, and promotions being run by marketing, channel, or region, and on-the-spot training or coaching of all visited outlets in the territory (100% of all visited outlets in the call cycle).
    • Manage events and promotions, generate sub-dealer-specific promo specifications, and perform post-promo evaluation.
    • Provide a weekly or monthly sales activity report, a market intelligence report, and an initial report to Field Service Engineers on the state of the network in the territory.
    • Monitor and report back on network quality and other sales-impacting indices in the territory covered.
    • Ensure a call cycle time of 8–10 visits per day per territory or as business requires.
    • Identify, classify, and support all players in channels of distribution and ensure a weekly or monthly database update.
    • Ensure MTN product availability in the channel is always >95% and provide a weekly product availability report of all visited outlets during call cycles.
    • Ensure information from Distributor Account Executive on Trade Partners product distribution is confirmed, relevant sub-dealers are followed up, and a weekly or monthly report is provided.
    • Direct all channel participants to an MTN-identified growth area within your territory.
    • Establish consistent channel standards, including branding, as per channel recommendations.
    • Increase brand awareness through signage and POS distribution and target 65% visibility in the channel of distribution (Trade marketing team will measure).
    • Support all identified outlets with 100% merchandising as appropriate and defined.
    • Manage stock in the channel and provide appropriate reports as follows:
      • Direct outlets with stock challenges to identified trade partners to ensure there is no stockout within assigned territories.
      • Obtain a list of SIM distribution by trade partners from distributor account executives on an ongoing basis and report weekly.
      • Obtain and record information on stocking from ALL visited outlets in the territory (where from, when, price, where to, and why still pending >30 days) and report weekly or monthly.
      • As appropriate, advise RSMs if there is a need for focused activity in the territory to help move stock, as appropriate.
      • Provide training on site to increase product knowledge.
      • Ensure MTN product availability in the channel is always >95% and provide a weekly product availability report of all visited outlets during call cycles.
      • Ensure that information from DAE on TPs product distribution is confirmed, that relevant sub-dealers are followed up on, and that a weekly / monthly report is provided.
      • Ensure all visited outlets give information on where, when, price, etc. of products and provide a weekly report.
      • Query all products in the channel older than 30 days from the date of purchase and make a report to the business on all such stock weekly.
      • Target 65% space within each outlet (Trade marketing team will measure)
      • Support all identified outlets with 100% merchandising as appropriate and defined.
      • Ensure 100% POS distribution to all channels of distribution within 14 days of release.
      • Ensure 100% replacement of expired, damaged, or obsolete materials within the territory and 100% removal of obsolete materials and messages.
      • Obtain information on stocking from ALL visited outlets in the territory (where from, when, price, where to, and why still pending >30 days): Record and report weekly or monthly.
      • Confirm that sub dealers and dealer branches are contacted and stock receipts and movements are verified.
      • Produce a weekly report.
      • Ensure areas in your territory without adequate TP or sub dealer presence are filled by encouraging TP or sub dealers to move into the area.

    Description

    • Adhere to, review, and update consistent, efficient, relevant, and standard policies, processes, and procedures for managing Digital Services’ RMS (gaming and video).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, onboard, and drive the adoption of compelling and relevant RMS (gaming and video).

      • Identify and develop RMS (gaming and video) that exceed identified/evolving customer expectations, needs, and priorities.
      • Implement product/service withdrawal, ensuring that alternative solutions are available to customers, properly planning a migration path to alternative services, and communicating changes effectively with a limited impact on revenues and subscriptions.
      • Develop and update accurate, current, data-driven, relevant and understandable analysis, FAQs and information packs to guide the use of RMS (gaming and video).
    • Solicit feedback from customers to continuously improve RMS (gaming and video) experiences, journeys, and interfaces.
    • Monitor and expeditiously resolve complaints related to customer expectations, needs, and priorities on RMS (gaming and video) 
    • Collaborate with the Digital Business Development team – if necessary – to develop and conduct training programs and technical support guides to introduce new RMS (gaming and video) to internal and external stakeholders – as may be required.
