Job Summary

• Transcribers will accurately convert audio recorded interviews and focus group discussions from the baseline assessment into written text, supporting current vacancies at SYDANI Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and produce verbatim transcripts in the original language for the SYDANI Group vacancies.
• Translate transcripts into English where applicable while preserving meaning and context; this process is integral to the vacancies at SYDANI Group.
• Ensure transcripts are clear, well formatted, and free of errors in line with vacancies at SYDANI Group requirements.Job fair promotions
• Annotate non verbal cues such as pauses, laughter, and emotions where relevant; essential for SYDANI Group vacancies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate
• Proven experience in transcription, preferably for research or academic purposes.
• Excellent listening and typing skills with high accuracy.
• Proficiency in English and at least one local language such as Hausa or Fulfulde.
• Access to a reliable computer and internet
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate for long periods.
• Familiarity with qualitative research concepts.
