Training and Development Officer  at Eric Kayser

A fast-growing hospitality company is looking for an experienced Training and Development Officer to equip employees with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their work effectively and professionally. The ideal candidate must have outstanding managerial skills and passion for employee training to enhance the competence of our employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement training programmes 
• Conduct on-the-job training for new hires
• Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of training programmes
• Work with Line Managers to identify training needs and opportunities
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to employees
• Maintain accurate training records
• Monitor and review the progress of trainees through appraisals, questionnaires and discussions with  Line Managers and provide timely and constructive feedback
• Plan and assess the ROI of any training or development programme
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and training techniques

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Proven experience in a similar training role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• In-depth knowledge of the restaurant industry and its operations
• Ability to design and implement effective training programmes
• Ability to lead a full training cycle
• Excellent decision-making, strong organizational and time management skills
• Good knowledge of talent management and succession planning methods
• Experience in Hospitality and learning management software will be an added advantage

QUALIFICATION: 

• BSc in Education, Training, HR or related field

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
