    Trade Marketing Specialist - Agency

    Role Overview:

    • At KingMakers, we are redefining the future of sports and iGaming entertainment in Africa. As a key player in our team, the Trade Marketing Specialist - Agency will be instrumental in driving our brand presence and ensuring effective execution of our marketing strategies at the retail level.

    What You Will Be Doing:

    Agency Trade Marketing Execution

    • Coordinate and execute Agency marketing initiatives across regions, ensuring alignment with overall brand and business objectives.
    • Drive agency branding initiatives including shop signage, and in-shop brand visibility materials.
    • Plan and execute on-ground marketing activities such as shop activations, roadshows, and localized promotions.
    • Support community outreach initiatives in collaboration with Regional Teams, Grandmasters, and Master Agents to deepen grassroots engagement.

    Product GTM Coordination & Execution

    • Support the planning and execution of product go-to-market (GTM) launches across the Agency channel.
    • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Regional Teams to translate GTM plans into clear, field-ready execution.
    • Coordinate agent-facing communications, training materials, and in-shop assets for new product launches and feature rollouts.
    • Ensure timely deployment of GTM materials and activations to drive awareness, understanding, and adoption at the shop level.
    • Collect field feedback on product performance and adoption and share insights with Product and Marketing teams.

    Campaign Coordination & Field Support

    • Work closely with Regional Teams to roll out national and regional trade marketing campaigns effectively.
    • Ensure timely distribution and proper use of marketing materials across agency locations.
    • Monitor campaign execution quality in the field and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
    • Support new shop openings, relaunches, and special events with tailored marketing activations.

    Creative & Design Support

    • Design trade marketing materials such as posters, flyers, banners, activation creatives, and basic digital assets.
    • Use tools such as Canva to develop visually appealing, on-brand materials for Agency use.
    • Adapt centrally developed marketing assets for local and regional execution where required.

    Performance Tracking & Reporting

    • Track and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives and activations.
    • Gather field insights and feedback from agents, Regional Teams, and partners to inform future campaigns.
    • Maintain records of marketing materials, activations, and regional deployments.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate with the central Marketing team to ensure brand consistency and campaign alignment.
    • Work closely with Operations and Regional Teams to ensure marketing initiatives support commercial objectives such as stakes growth and agent retention.
    • Support ad-hoc marketing initiatives as required by the Agency leadership team.

    Requirements

    What you need for this role:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
    • 2-4 years of experience in trade marketing or brand management, preferably with agency experience
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data and trends
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously
    • Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools and experience with survey and market research
    • Creative mindset with a keen eye for successful promotional material
    • A collaborative spirit and strong communication skills to liaise effectively with agency teams and internal stakeholders
    • Passion for sports and the gaming industry is a plus

    Technical Requirements

    • Design Skills: Proficiency in design tools ability to create clean, effective trade marketing and communication materials.
    • Strong understanding of on-ground marketing and retail activation execution.
    • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and GTM initiatives across regions
    • Basic reporting and data interpretation skills to assess campaign performance.

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

    • Strong organizational and execution skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with field teams and agents.
    • Hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Creative thinking combined with strong execution discipline.
    • Willingness to travel as required to support regional activations and campaigns
