Technical Engineer – Elevators & Escalators at Natafamdaivid Consulting Nig. Ltd

Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning:

• Install new elevator and escalator systems according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Conduct system testing and commissioning to verify proper functionality.
• Ensure proper calibration and adjustment of control systems and mechanical components.

Maintenance & Servicing:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and prolong equipment life.
• Inspect and service electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs and service reports.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

• Diagnose faults and identify root causes of equipment malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective parts to restore functionality.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and service calls.

Compliance & Safety:

• Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and local regulatory requirements.
• Ensure work complies with manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
• Participate in safety audits and training sessions.

Client & Team Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with clients regarding technical issues and solutions.
• Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and other engineers to meet deadlines.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in elevator/escalator installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, control systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Physical fitness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license is an advantage.
