Tax Manager at CCETC Ogua Energy Limited

Job Description

• Prepare and review complex corporate tax returns (VAT, CIT, WHT, PAYE) to ensure timely filing.
• Lead transfer pricing documentation and filing returns
• Develop tax-saving strategies, optimize procedures, and advise senior management on tax implications of business decisions.
• Act as the primary liaison during tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
• Ensure companywide tax compliant.
• Identifying tax problems and developing solutions.
• Completing responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits.
• Monitoring developments in tax legislation.
• Reviewing tax returns.
• Informing management and staff of developments in tax legislation.

• Manage relationships with regulatory and statutory bodies, i.e. LIRS, FIRS, etc.
• Keeping abreast of new development in reporting, tax and other regulatory requirement to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• B.Sc Degree / HND in Accounting or business-related field
• Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CITN)
• Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience

Skills and Attributes:

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint) and tax software
• Strong knowledge of transfer pricing regulation, documentation, methods and strategies preferred.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange regulation and compliance is essential
• In-depth knowledge of tax law and principles
• Experience in power/energy/oil and gas industry is essential
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Passionate about work and willing to learn
• Sound problem solving skill
• Age limit 35 – 40 years.
