As our Talent Acquisition Manager you will make a critical contribution to the success of 54 Collective by identifying and hiring the best talent for our portfolio businesses and helping them build high performing teams as their ventures grow and their talent needs evolve.
You will be a culture champion and an advocate of instilling the Company’s values.

Responsibilities
Market research: Identifying, documenting, and immersing yourself in communities of entrepreneurs, non-tech operators and tech talent across Africa to discover and convert high-potential talent.
Candidate attraction: Designing and implementing a creative strategy to increase candidates’ interest into our portfolio businesses’ opportunities.
Job advertisements: Supporting our portfolio businesses and alumni business with job postings on our 54 Collective job portal and other relevant portals
Talent acquisition process management: End to end process management, drafting of specs, posting on job boards, building talent pools, assessing talent suitability.
Stakeholder engagement: Professional engagement with various stakeholders across the value chain.
Coordination and Project coordination: Use project management principles to coordinate various search campaigns
Talent Pipelines: Proactively build a robust and diverse pipeline of candidates in various jurisdictions across Africa
Partnerships: Create and manage partnership opportunities with diverse communities including recruitment partners in across Africa, 54 Collective and founders’ communities
Brand Ambassador: Live our values and work with the wider team to develop our employer brand strategy
Skills & Experiences
At least 5 years’ relevant, progressive talent acquisition experience across multiple markets in both the corporate and startup landscape, with at least 2 years as a generalist business partner supporting Senior Leadership and Line managers
Knowledge in talent acquisition methodologies, tools, and techniques and the HR value chain
Very strong EQ and problem-solving skills, consistently demonstrating sound, trusted judgement
Ability to influence and deliver through people
Excellent knowledge of local labour legislation and people processes
The ability to build collaborative relationships with good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to colleagues with differing levels of expertise and skills while championing inclusion and diversity
Extremely high levels of confidentiality and integrity
Attention to detail and a desire to drive quality
A collaborative approach and willingness to be challenged on the status quo
