    Subsea Senior Principal/ Lead System and Hardware Engineer

    Key Responsibilities and Capability:

    • Apply extensive knowledge in the application of advanced theories in Subsea elements, including hardware, subsea structures, and flow logic.
    • Seek input from knowledgeable sources participates in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews, and ensures that requirements are incorporated into engineering design.
    • Keep abreast of new scientific methods and developments affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in emphasis of programs or new programs warranted by such developments.
    • Present to a larger audience on advanced engineering findings relating them to the project being executed.
    • Apply extensive experience over broad areas to ensure technical quality of work and efficiency of the approach.
    • Manage project team(s) in unusual settings or in demanding situations, including remote working.
    • Manage teams of different disciplines in support of the discipline manager.
    • Develop and implements programs to upgrade performance levels by working with colleagues, other disciplines, and customers.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Experienced in subsea systems engineering (construction and/or design), including layouts, structures, flow logic, associated risks.
    • Deepwater experience with open and closed-loop systems
    • Extensive understanding of interface with topside.
    • Good knowledge of hydraulic systems, including cleanliness and filtration requirements, and analysis techniques.
    • · Well-versed in discipline setup, instituting work processes, monitoring a team, producing deliverables, and project closeout.
    • Excellent working knowledge of design codes and standards like ISO 16328 and API 17, as well as other recommended practices like ASME and DNVGL and local design codes for subsea structures and hardware
    • A significant understanding of risks related to high pressure, high-temperature Deepwater flowlines.
    • A good understanding of the interaction between flowlines and structures
    • An excellent understanding of the interaction between structures and foundations, with loading on structures and identifying critical interfaces within.
    • A good understanding of the foundation and support requirements of hardware and structures
    • Ability to maintain full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating scopes within the project; bring in lessons learned from the several scopes.
    • Ability to give advice on subsea construction and installation.
    • Ability to give advice on solving system design issues, including testing specifications required for fabrication and construction.
    • Ability to be a technical focal point for subsea system and hardware design challenges.
    • Ability to interface with the customer or an installation contractor and provide the technical know-how in such a way that improves the quality of the deliverables and schedule.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate and technically review reports and the specialist software data files.
    • Excellent people skills-building effective business relationships, working in a team environment liaising with another project technical personnel.
    • Adept at assessing project risk during design and execution phases, as well as associated budgeting and cost control management teams. Action-oriented and Proactive in team management and project execution.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s in engineering or Master of Engineering (MEng)
    • Has significant experience, minimum 10 years, in project leadership.
    • COREN licensed or equivalent from a professional body.
