    Subsea Senior Principal / Lead Pipeline Engineer

    Key Responsibilities and Capability:

    • Apply extensive knowledge in the application of advanced theories in Subsea elements, including pipelines, risers, and subsea structures.    
    • Seek input from knowledgeable sources, participate in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews, and ensure that requirements are incorporated into engineering design.
    • Keep abreast of new scientific methods and developments affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in emphasis of programs or new programs warranted by such developments.
    • Present to a larger audience on advanced engineering findings relating them to the project being executed.
    • Maintain full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating scopes within the project; bring in lessons learned from the several scopes.
    • Apply extensive experience over broad areas to ensure technical quality of work and efficiency of the approach.
    • Manage project team(s) in unusual settings or in demanding situations, including remote working.
    • Manage teams of different disciplines in support of the discipline manager.  

    Skills & Experience:

    • Experienced in subsea pipeline engineering (construction and/or design)              
    • Deepwater experience with loop systems
    • Steel Catenary Risers knowledge and experience, understanding risers design codes. Extensive understanding of interface loading subsea and topside.
    • Good working knowledge of DNVGL design standards, specifically DNVGL-ST-F101 and BS, ASME, API, and ISO standards as well as other recommended practices and local design codes
    • A significant understanding of the technical issues related to high pressure, high-temperature Deepwater flowlines.
    • An extensive understanding of the interaction between flowlines and structures
    • Excellent people skills building effective business relationships, working in a team environment liaising with other project technical and management teams. Action-oriented and Proactive in team management and project execution.
    • · Well-versed in discipline setup, instituting work processes, monitoring a team, producing deliverables, and project closeout.

    Qualifications:

    • Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering or Master of Engineering (MEng)
    • Has significant experience, minimum 10 years, in project leadership.
    • COREN licensed or equivalent from a professional body.

    • Experienced in flow assurance, multiphase flow, and production chemistry.
    • Deepwater experience with loop systems
    • Good working knowledge of DNV and ASME pipeline codes
    • A significant understanding of the technical issues related to operating high pressure, high-temperature Deepwater flowlines.
    • Undertake and manage steady-state and transient single and multiphase analyses.
    • Proven flow assurance ability at all the levels of design
    • Develop operating and flow assurance philosophies and guidelines.
    • Experience in pressure protection systems is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of how to flow assurance interacts and is related to other project disciplines.
    • Ability to be a technical focal point for project-related flow assurance design challenges.
    • Ability to interface with the customer or an installation contractor and provide the technical know-how in such a way that improves the quality of the deliverables and schedule.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate and technically review reports and the specialist software data files.   

    Qualifications:

    • Master of Science (MSc) in Chemical Engineering or Master of Chemical Engineering (MEng)
    • Has significant experience, minimum 10 years, in project leadership.
    • COREN licensed or equivalent from a professional body.

    • Excellent working knowledge of design codes and standards like ISO 16328 and API 17, as well as other recommended practices like ASME and DNVGL and local design codes for subsea structures and hardware

    • Adept at assessing project risk during design and execution phases, as well as associated budgeting and cost control.
    • Good working knowledge of DNVGL design standards as well as BS, ASME, API, and ISO standards and other recommended practices and local design codes. Knowledge of key drawbacks and advantages of each of the design codes and local/international standards.
    • An extensive understanding of the interaction the different subsea elements (Trees, subsea structures, jumpers and spools, pipelines, risers, geotechnics, materials, and flow assurance)             
    • Experience in Finite Element modeling and analysis as well as fluid dynamics and the relevant applications.
    • Ability to give advice on construction and installation.
    • Ability to give advice on solving design issues, including fatigue life and operability and testing specification required for fabrication and construction.
