    State-Level Coordinator

    About the Programme

    • The South South BPO Workforce Development Programme seeks to equip young people across the South South region with industry-relevant skills for employment in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), technology-enabled services, and creative industries.
    • The programme will adopt a training-to-jobs approach through employer partnerships, internships, apprenticeships, remote work opportunities, and entrepreneurship pathways.
    • The programme includes large-scale beneficiary mobilisation, employer engagement, curriculum co-creation, job placement, and stakeholder coordination across the South South region.

    Role Summary

    • The State-Level Coordinator will provide operational leadership and coordination for programme implementation within an assigned state. The role will be responsible for overseeing beneficiary mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, training delivery coordination, employer engagement support, monitoring activities, and reporting within the state.
    • The successful candidate will serve as the primary programme representative at the state level and will work closely with government agencies, community stakeholders, training centres, innovation hubs, employers, and beneficiaries to ensure successful programme implementation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Programme Coordination and Implementation

    • Coordinate day-to-day programme implementation activities within the assigned state.
    • Support beneficiary mobilisation, screening, training delivery, and employment activities.
    • Monitor implementation progress against workplans, milestones, and programme targets.
    • Ensure compliance with programme policies, procedures, and donor requirements.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

    • Develop and maintain relationships with state government agencies, community leaders, educational institutions, employers, and ecosystem stakeholders.
    • Coordinate stakeholder consultations, programme meetings, outreach activities, and community engagement initiatives.
    • Represent the programme at state-level meetings, workshops, and public events.
    • Support collaboration between programme partners and local stakeholders.

    Operational Support and Logistics

    • Coordinate training venues, implementation schedules, and operational activities.
    • Support trainer deployment, beneficiary onboarding, and programme logistics.
    • Identify implementation risks and escalate issues where necessary.
    • Ensure smooth coordination of programme activities across all implementation locations within the state.

    Monitoring, Reporting and Compliance

    • Track programme performance and implementation progress within the state.
    • Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, stakeholders, activities, and outcomes.
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly implementation reports.
    • Support monitoring visits, audits, evaluations, and verification exercises.

    Required Qualifications

    Professional Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing state-level development programmes, training initiatives, youth development projects, or community-based interventions.
    • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder programmes involving government agencies, development partners, and local communities.
    • Strong stakeholder engagement, reporting, and operational coordination experience.
    • Experience supporting donor-funded programmes is desirable.
