Sports Coach (Inter-House Sports) at Divine Infinity College

Job Description:
The Sports Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering structured sports training programmes that prepare students for the school's Inter-House Sports Competition and other sporting events. The coach will identify and develop students' athletic abilities, promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants during training sessions and competitions.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and train students for Inter-House Sports competitions.
• Develop and implement structured training programmes.
• Improve students' fitness, skills, and teamwork.
• Organize selection trials and practice sessions.
• Ensure safety during all sporting activities.
• Maintain sports equipment and training records.
• Promote discipline, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
• Assist in planning and coordinating school sports events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor's Degree in Physical and Health Education (PHE), Sports Science, or a related field.
• Professional coaching certification is an added advantage.
• First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience coaching school-age athletes.
• Experience organizing or coaching students for Inter-House Sports competitions.
• Experience in athletics coaching is highly desirable.
