Site Manager (Engineer) at Beauty And Fragrance LTD

Duties

• Overseeing the direction of a project, ensuring that teams complete it according to the client's requirements
• Reviewing progress and meeting with quantity surveyors to keep track of costs
• Supervising and coordinating construction workers
• Finding solutions to problems that occur throughout a project
• Performing regular safety inspections
• Liaising with other construction professionals, clients and members of the public
• Selecting and ordering the right tools and materials for a job
• Preparing and checking site diagrams, drawings and reports
• Writing up progress reports and other documentation
• Procuring materials for each phase of the project
• Monitoring build costs and project progress
• Conducting quality and safety inspections
• Motivating the workforce
• Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
• Using specialist project management computer programmes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering or related field
• Professional certification
• Three or more years of experience in managing new-construction and remodeling projects
• Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and an ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
• Knowledge of building-code requirements and scheduling methods
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for quality.
• Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices.
