About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to support a short-term (1 Month) research project focused on agricultural value chains and digital finance. This is a 100% in-person role, requiring daily work from our office in F01, Kubwa, FCT, Abuja. The ideal candidate will have strong research and analytical skills, with experience in policy analysis, economic research, and agribusiness market systems.

NOTE: THIS ROLE IS BASED IN THE F01 KUBWA FCT AREA, HENCE THE CANDIDATE MUST BE BASED IN THAT LOCATION OR WILLING TO WORK FROM THERE FOR THE 1 MONTH DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT

Duration: 1 Month (In Person)

Salary: N300,000

Start Date: March 3rd 2025

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct desk research and literature reviews on digital finance applications in agriculture.
• Analyze policy frameworks, market trends, and economic data related to agribusiness and financial inclusion.
• Assist in synthesizing research findings from reports, stakeholder interviews, and case studies.
• Support the drafting and editing of sectoral reports on selected agricultural commodities.
• Assist in mapping key stakeholders and financial service providers in the agricultural sector.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis, and report writing for strategic recommendations.
• Provide logistical and research support for stakeholder engagement sessions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of agricultural value chains and financial systems in Nigeria.
• Experience with research methodologies, data synthesis, and policy analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and research tools.
• Excellent analytical and writing skills, with experience in drafting reports or publications.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced research environment.
• Must own your own laptop and internet device
• Must be based in or willing to work daily from F01, Kubwa, FCT, Abuja.
