Egg Collectors/Graders at Amy Consulting

Key Responsibilities

• Collect eggs from laying houses according to the farm's collection schedule.
• Inspect eggs for cracks, dirt, deformities, and other quality defects.
• Grade and sort eggs based on size, weight, and quality standards.
• Remove and properly dispose of damaged, broken, or unsuitable eggs.
• Clean and package eggs in designated trays, cartons, or crates.
• Ensure eggs are stored under appropriate conditions to maintain freshness and quality.
• Record daily egg collection, grading results, breakages, and losses.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in egg collection and grading areas.
• Follow farm biosecurity, health, and safety procedures at all times.
• Report unusual findings such as increased egg breakage, disease symptoms, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock management of egg trays and packaging materials.
• Support other poultry farm activities as assigned by management.

Key Requirements

• School certificate/or OND in any discipline, preferably agric related field
• Previous experience in poultry farming or egg handling is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
• Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
