Product Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies aligned with the company's vision and mission.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats.
Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, including defining requirements, prioritizing features, and managing timelines.
Product Lifecycle Management: Own the entire product lifecycle, including roadmap planning, feature enhancements, and sunsetting strategies.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Technology, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
Client Engagement: Engage with clients to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product hypotheses to drive continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with product development, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track product performance and make data-driven decisions.
Team Leadership: Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to junior product team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field; CISI, CFI or CFA enrollment, MBA or equivalent preferred.
Proven track record of at least 5 years in product management roles within the financial services industry, preferably in asset management or wealth management.
Deep understanding of savings and investment products, financial markets, and regulatory landscape in Africa.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic mindset with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong customer-centric mindset.
