Senior Claims Officer – Maturity and Surrender (Life Insurance) at Work Place Centre Limited

Grade Level: Assistant Manager – Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all claims (Surrenders and Maturities) are initiated on business application and concluded within timeline.
• Ensure claims are computed accurately by business application before discharge voucher is authorized.
• Authorize discharge vouchers within approval limit as agreed by the company.
• Ensure payment discharge vouchers are generated and dispatched within the specified timelines
• Ensure discharge vouchers are signed and returned within agreed timeline.
• Ensure executed discharge vouchers are processed within twenty-four (24) hours after receipt. 
• Ensure account details provided by the beneficiary are valid and accurately captured into the business application.
• Approve claims benefits where it is within agreed approval limit.
• Ensure all processed claims get to finance within stipulated time after receipt of executed discharge voucher.
• Ensure failed transactions are reprocessed with appropriate payment information within twenty-four (24) hours of transaction failure.
• Collate and maintain daily activity report on processed claims.
• Provide all Claims reports as may be required from time to time

Academic Qualifications and Experience: 

First degree in related discipline

• Minimum of Eight (8) years related experience required
• In-depth knowledge of Claims Management process and Insurance underwriting
• Proven experience in similar role with in-depth understanding of Insurance Products and Operations
